SWICOM Board 2.6.0 Board application firmware
SWICOM Config.Tool 2.6.0 Configuration Tool

1.2 SWICOM Board

New functionalities:

• Added MT585 sensor

MT585 sensor is a Modbus sensor and provides the same data as MDC4-M for PGIS
application. Currently for MT585 the PAIS and RMU applications are not included (while
MDC4-M is also handling the PAIS application).

• Added MULTICOM sensor (included but hidden in release 2.6)

SWICOM get data from array infrared MULTICOM sensor (thermal image, Tmax,
dTmax/dt) and perform analytics based on 2FG (2 features graph) algorithm. SWICOM can
combine data up to 4 MULTICOM installed in the same bay and provide the relevant KPIs.
The data are also stored and can be exported in SD card (as done for PRPD data)

• Added Chinese language in HMI

The SWICOM HMI is fully translated in Chinese language. The user can select the
preferred language in the HMI menu.

1.3 SWICOM Config.Tool

New functionalities:

• Double CB management in a panel

A single ABB Relion relay can handle two breakers in specific applications (two breakers
double busbar systems switchgear configurations, when used in front, back to back, and
duplex switchgear configurations). A single SWICOM can be configured to monitor one of
two different installed breaker. Breaker to be monitored has to be indicated by the user
during the process of IED association.

• SWICOM HMI:

Added MDC sensor type (to indicate MT585 and MDC4-M) to sensors that can be installed
in a generic bay through the “Sensors selector dialog”.

Added capability to switch application type of MDC sensor between PGIS and PAIS
(default application type is PGIS).

type chosen by the user.
