Brief summary of the case
Professor Henry Baker is a mentor or advisor to his pupils who needs assistance with their job.
Ralph Power, a second-year MBA student who is a student of his, also set up a meeting with
Henry Baker. In this situation, Power was having trouble finding work and needed Henry Baker's
assistance in organizing his resume. Signaling management concerns were listed on his résumé.
Ralph Power will now share his difficulties in finding a job with Henry Baker when he has
joined the conversation. Ralph Power told the professor about his predicament, getting to the
point. He claims that he has sent out nearly 75 resumes thus far. The outcomes, however, were
terribly depressing. Power submitted 50 rejection letters and received no response from 17
offices. He received calls from eight different businesses, but he was never able to advance to the
next stage. However, his roommate was receiving daily employment calls from several
companies, which made finding or keeping a job even harder for him. He began to contrast his
circumstance with that of his roommate.

5. Jealousy/Panicking:
Power feels tension or jealousy when his roommates succeed. He acknowledged that it was
awful for him because every time the phone rang at home, it was someone calling to give his
housemates a new job. This is the reason he did not consider or consider the fact that his
roommate had received more employment offers than he did.
6. Inappropriate resume:
Every ideal organization chooses or evaluates individuals based on how they wrote their
resumes. The resume of Mr. Power has a few mistakes. Some of them are he left off giving his
email address, there aren't many comprehensive educational details provided, please describe
your career interests in detail, How the company aids him in accomplishing his own objectives

process from websites, YouTube, etc. Which will be help him to improve her interview skills.
Furthermore, he can search for some questions that might be asked in the interview and prepare
for those questions.
5. Solution of problem no 5:
Instead of getting jealous or feeling tension he needs to motivate himself by seeing other people
that he also can get a job as because people surrounded with him are getting job. As because he
is thinking when his roommate phone is ringing that he is getting employments offers. He should
ask for help rather getting jealous. He can ask for suggestions that how his roommate is
managing his career to get job.
6. Solution of problem no 6:
Ralph’s is excellent in planning, coordinating, and human resource management; to see his
resume. But in his resume, he writes that his interest was finance which does not match his
original skills and capability. So, he needs to focus on her skills and ability to find a job. This
will help him to search for an appropriate job circular. Also, it will make his genuine interest in
the relevant post. It’s also increasing his motivation and helps him to take a better preparation for
the interview.
Conclusion
We know right now we are living in an era where there are many jobs in the market. But the
thing is the organization are telling that they are not getting quality employees. There are many
graduates in the market available currently but the most important thing is most of the graduates
are not focused, don’t know about the market, don’t have the capability of approaching others
and so many things. So, before go for any interview or get into a job everyone should make their
self-ready for that.
