ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Summer Internship opportunity I had with EduMentor Educational Services Pvt.
Ltd. was a great chance for learning and professional development. This project
consumed huge amount of hard work, research and commitment. Still, implementation
would not have been possible if I do not have a support of many individuals. The
superior knowledge and experience of the company’s executives helped me in the
Project to generate quality of outcomes, and thus the support of company guides helped
to achieve the objectives.
I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and special thanks to Mr.
Vikas Jain and Mr. Gaurang Khurana who despite being extraordinary busy with
their respective duties, took time out to guide and keep me on the correct path and
allowing me to carry out my project at their esteemed organisation.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The project report which is entitled as `` Brand positioning and executing strategies for
operational efficiency at Edumentor Educational Services Pvt Ltd.`` has been created
during my internship. Basically, to know the area of improvement or what else can be
done in terms of customer satisfaction from Edumentor is the goal of this project report.
The research design that is taken into account here is descriptive, data collected using
primary sources and analyzed and interpretive using statistical tools like pie charts, bar
graphs and percentages
. The findings were observed and conclusion was made for this research report
interoperating that what type of classes are really liked by the students , what are the
factors which students are finding perfect in online classes or in offline classes and
some recommendations were suggested so that the scope of keeping this online teaching
and learning process in practice in future also can be highlighted like whether to choose
it or not and if choosing then what things should be kept in mind so that the customer
satisfaction could be earned. The final conclusion has predicted the offline classes to be
very strong from student`s perspective but there was percentage in appreciation of
online classes preference even in future also.

Need for study:
Introduction:
EduMentor Educational Services was established in 2006 by Mr. Vikas Jain, Founder,
CEO of the company. EduMentor Educational Services was initially known as ‘Foqal’
and was started initially with 35 students. Later in the second year of its operation the
company was renamed as ‘Mentor’. In the following year 2007 the student strength
increased to 300. The company was renamed as ‘EduMENTOR’ in the third year of its
operation because the name Mentor had already been registered by some other
organisation. Again, the company showed an exponential growth as the number of
students increased to 2700 to 3500 in the years 2017 and 2018. In 2021, the student
strength the company is targeting to enrol 4500+ students. Over these years EduMentor
has been able to carve a niche for itself in this competitive industry because of its focus
on product quality and delivery. But it was some difficult for them to achieve it at this
covid days. Because students prefer offline classes until then, after this covid era
students are well comfortable at their home to attend the classes regularly.

EduMentor
10 | P a g e
The Human Resource Team is responsible for hiring faculties. Therefore, major work
done by the HR team is Recruitment & Selection of Faculties. After recruitment the
team looks into feedback management as well as compensation management. Apart
from the faculties they also hire the interns, they get the interns from the wide range of
colleges and provide good skills to them.
The Marketing Team is responsible for planning and execution of marketing strategies
mainly the board centre activity (BCA). After the execution of the marketing plan the
marketing team is dissolved barring a few people and merged with the core sales team.
They get to the clients via different kinds of medium such as school data, tuition data of
the students etc, they go the centres and bring the students in to their company.
The Sales Team or the counselling team is responsible for converting the leads
generated by the marketing activity. This involves telephonic counselling of the
students as well as face to face counselling where students are asked to visit centre with
their parents basically to convince students to join EduMentor for betterment of their
career. Sales team acts as the first interface between the Clients and Company, so that
they talk to the clients and brief them about the courses and the services that are offered
by the EduMentor.
The Operations Team is responsible for handling day-to-day issues of students as well
as issues arriving at the centre. They act as a medium of communication between the
students and the core management team of EduMentor. They are required to solve any
issues related to students like arranging specific classes, providing the students with the
study material, conducting mock tests and continuously motivating them to perform
better. Each centre is allotted with an Operations Manager for managing the functioning
of entire centre.
The Academic Team is responsible for effective curriculum delivery, the achievement
of departmental goals, learning the outcomes and meeting the targets and benchmarks. It

Progress Report:
Based on Methodology
Verifying information given by the students
I had been provided with the data sheet containing information like contact
details, Aadhar number, phone number, address, 10th class marksheet, etc. I had
to then telephonically contact the students to confirm their details provided by
them and correct them if there is any change. After filling basic details we need
to contact them for OTP so that their registration can be confirmed and after that
we fill out the form.
In addition to this, I also asked the students to recheck their details by their login
ID.

SYMBIOSIS
➢ Task 2: Prepared the question bank for the quizzes of different subjects
For the second task, I was given the task of preparing the question bank of different
subjects ( ECONOMICS, POLITICAL SCIENCE, HISTORY, ETC)
17 | P a g e
Based on Methodology :
First I was given the subject for which I have to prepare question bank for the quizzes
and then I have to search relevant questions related to their course and subject.
I was provided with some practise sets also, to get some idea of the question ,which
helps in preparing the questions.
I have to prepare the question bank of 50 Questions of different subjects and then
upload it on moodle for students.
18 | P a g e
➢ Task 3: Working on moodle for editing and updating edumentor portals.
19 | P a g e
Task 4: Prepared the class schedule, class timings, availability of rooms and number
of students, and availability of teachers and backup for the same.
Based on Methodology :
First we have to schedule the class, then we have make the group of students as per the
size of class after that we need to check the availability of the rooms and then the
availability of teacher and backup for the same.
Task 5: Appointed as a branch manager where I had to handle the branch from taking
attendance till taking feedback.
20 | P a g e
Based on Methodology :
We have to take the attendance of the students so that we can get the count of students
who all are coming to the classes and can identify the absentees and asking them the
reason for not attending the classes. Also have to take teacher’s attendance with in time
and out time. And after the class we have to take faculty feedback from students, so we
can get to know about the problems students are facing or are they satisfied with
teaching method or not.
21 | P a g e
Task 6: Took some mock interviews of the students to prepare them for their interview
process.
Based on Methodology :
While taking the mock interview we need to know some info about the student ( eg:
what is his/her stream in 12th, what all are the courses he/she is applying for, what all
are colleges he/she is targeting). After the interview we need to give the feedback to the
student and have to arrange another interview if required.
CHALLENGES FACED
➢ Many students have not given the proper information so for that we have to
contact them multiple times.
➢ There is a issue in generating a OTP because while doing registeration we get a
OTP on registered phone number, but students are not answering the calls.
➢ The main limitation of this duty is that sometimes it’s hard to get in contact with
the students as they attend the regular school classes, their timetable and the
interview schedule overlaps sometimes, then we need to find a better arrangement
of timing to them.
➢ Sometimes, there will a technical glitch, both the faculty and the students may be
waiting in the same room, but it shows for them as unavailable for each other, at
that instance either the faculty or the students gets in touch with us and will let us
know on how to deal with it.

THE COACHING INDUSTRY-
Education plays a pivotal role in the overall development of an individual in a
developing country like India. Indian Education system is growing and developing
continuously with Indian Coaching Industry being its significant part. Classroom
coaching is the major segment of the Coaching Industry and is responsible for
generating the most significant chunk of revenue of this industry. The Indian Classroom
Coaching Industry is further segmented into Private Tutorial Industry and Entrance
exam preparation.
Private Tuition Industry involves students from grade 5 to grade 12, who supplement
their formal education along with coaching classes for various subjects. Entrance test
Preparation Industry on the other hand involves coaching for various entrance analysis
like IITJEE, AIEEE, AIPMT and CA exam levels. This preparation is very process
driven and involves engaging students with proper study materials. This industry
witnesses fierce competitions with various established market players operating and
competing with differentiated strategies. This industry is expected to grow further due
to increasing competition for various competitive exams.
2. COMPANY ANALYSIS
Every company has to know their inside and outsides, where the company feels as crest
and where the company feels as trough, so that company will be able to tackle the
difficult situation of their company.
SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, and so a SWOT
Analysis is a technique for assessing these four aspects of your business. You can utilize
SWOT Analysis to benefit as much as possible from what you have, to your
association's best benefit. What's more, you can diminish the odds of disappointment,
by understanding what you're missing, and wiping out perils that would somehow get
you unprepared. Even better, you can begin to make a procedure that recognizes you
from your rivals, thus contend effectively in your market.

COMPETITORS ANALYSIS:
So looking at the closest competitor and identifying their strengths and weakness so that
we can get better hold of the competitors. If competitors are lagging in some of the
fields, then we must have to improve on them, because the clients will choose the one
who offers much benefits with the cost as well.
1. Pratham
2. IMS
3. Career Launcher
4. TIME
Here in the above competitor list the TIME and IMS has their wings on all the
coaching’s such as for all the entrance examinations, so they might not impact so far
But the Pratham offers the competition at higher pace, it has all its centres in the Delhi
and the NCR as EduMentor, so knowing the tactics and developments of the
competitors is must, so that we can move ahead of them and offer the better to the
clients in order to be the pioneer in the market.
26 | P a g e
3. INTRO OF THE PROJECT
As an Operations intern, using the skills to the most and managing the activities
of the students, coordinating with faculty and students. Scheduling the classes to
the students and assisting them. As an operation team one should maintain each
and everything in a systematic manner so that no one gets any issues with the
services and the products, the main aim is to improve the efficacy by properly
implementing and arranging the resources which are operable in the
organization. This organization has around thirty hundred students, it is not that
ease to maintain the day-to-day activities of the students and the faculty. If
referring as only one student gets a problem a day, even though it becomes
enormous task for operations team to make a track of student and assist them in
their problem solving. So, maintaining proper record of the students would
really make work easier. But in order to handle the queries and solve the issues
of the students, as an operations intern I should be aware of all the courses that
are available after 12th and to understand the all requisites of students, one such
course needs mock interviews, operations team engages in scheduling the
meetings and conducts the mock interview to the students, so that students will
be best prepared and can be able to tackle the real interview with no stress. In
this way as an operations team, I help in coordinating with students for mock
interviews and scheduling the interview sessions and faster response to the
students’ queries.
27 | P a g e

CHAPTER 2
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research Design
The type of research design used in this study is the descriptive research. It is used to
obtain information concerning the current status of the phenomena and to describe
“What exists” with respect to variables or conditions in a situation. Descriptive research
has been used here because here the aim is to explain the factors influence the selection
of online classes or offline classes.
• Primary Sources
• Secondary Sources
In the present study Primary data has been used so that more authentic and reliable
research can be carried out. Primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires to
students online. The questionnaires were carefully designed by taking into account the
parameters of my study.
29 | P a g e
Data analysis - tools/techniques
The data collected from the primary sources and the instrument used here is
Questionnaire which is forwarded online to students and responses are analyzed and
interpreted in the systematic manner with the help of statistical tools like percentage, pie
charts and bar graphs.
Sampling design
Sampling is a process used in statistical analysis in which a predetermined number of
observations are taken from a larger population.
30 | P a g e
CHAPTER 3
ANALYSIS OF DATA
Distribution of Respondents on the basis of classes taken:
INTERPRETATION:
It can be interpretated that more students have taken online classes in comparison of
offline classes but there are students i.e., 51 in numbers who had taken both classes, on
the other hand, 84 is the number of students who are taking online classes only.
31 | P a g e
Respondent`s current experience with Edu mentor Classes –
INTERPRETATION:
From the above pie chart, it can be interpretated that the maximum number of student’s
experience is very good with Edu mentor i.e., 41.49% there were students whose
experience is good with Edu mentor but there were students who has just rated average
their experience i.e., 17.03%. We can see that more than 80% of students have rated
their experience at Edu mentor as good only 2 % of students haven`t found it good, thus
in my opinion Edu mentor is doing good.
32 | P a g e
Distribution of respondent’s opinion regarding presence of convenient
factors to be more in online classes than offline classes –
INTERPRETATION:
From the above pie chart, it can be clearly interpretated those online classes are more
convenient in comparison of offline classes as 45.19% of students have selected neutral
option. More than 35% of students are founding online classes more convenient in
comparison of offline classes whereas, 34pprox. 19% of students are not finding online
classes convenient. Thus, in my opinion convenient is not the factor that is anyhow
more influencing the students during online classes.
33 | P a g e
Responses on value of money consideration from online classes in
comparison with offline classes
INTERPRETATION:
It can be analyzed that there is no clear distinction between the respondents in terms of
gaining same value for money in online classes as compared to offline classes as
34.90% students haven`t agreed upon this where as 35.50% have agreed and 29.60 %
Are not sure about it. Thus, it can be interpretated those students are still evaluating Edu
mentor and they are not able to conclude on this as they need time for this.
34 | P a g e
Respondent`s Rating on factors while taking online classes:
1. Level Of Motivation –
INTERPRETATION:
From the above bar graph it can be interpretated that the motivation is not the factor that
students are finding any how to be less in online classes in comparison of offline classes
as more than 61% of students had rated motivation level to be good in comparison of
offline classes with , whereas 30% of students are not able to came on any conclusion
regarding this where as there are less than 7% of students who feel that motivation level
is high in offline classes as compared to online classes.
35 | P a g e
2. Personal connect with teacher –
INTERPRETATION:
It can be interpretated that the personal connect that means a focused attention from
teacher can be considered as the problem here on an average as the students are finding
less in online classes as compared to offline classes. As only 51% are the students
which are saying that they doesn`t face this problem during online classes and 27% are
the students who have rated this average in online classes whereas 15. 60 % are the
students who had rated this low that means they have found this more in offline classes.
Thus, in my opinion this is a major concern from student side during online classes
36 | P a g e
3. Concentration Level –
INTERPRETATION:
It can be interpretated that the concentration level during online classes as compared to
offline classes is good with a percentage of 49.90% and the on the second are the
number of students who are finding this average during online class with 25.9%
whereas the third number are the number of the students with a percentage of 11.10%
who are not able to concentrate on their studies during online classes.
As 39pprox. 55 % of students are not facing any problem related to concentration level
that means the teachers are able to keep the student`s concentration in studies during
online classes.
37 | P a g e
4. Concept Understanding –
INTERPRETATION:
It can be interpretated that there is no problem in understanding of concept during
online classes by the students as compared to offline classes as a good percentage of
students has rated the concept 40pprox. during online classes as good with 42% and
27% as very high Abd 28% with average.
38 | P a g e
Distribution of Responses related to future preference of classes –
INTERPRETATION:
It can be interpretated that a greater number of students are willing to take offline
classes i.e., 70 % in comparison of online classes which is only chosen by 30% of
students. In my opinion that means yet the number of offline classes supporter is more
but it should not be ignored that there are number of students who are willing to take
online classes even in future, implying that there is a scope for online classes in future.
39 | P a g e
CHAPTER 4
FINDINGS
➢ Number of students is more who had taken online classes but there is also a
percentage of students who is just below the average who had taken both the
offline as well as online classes, means a very good sample for this research
report.
➢ Majority of students are finding Edu mentor’s classes good that means they are
liking it, but we can`t ignore the percentage (even if it is very small) 1.48% who
is not finding their experience to be good with Edu mentor.
➢ A large number of students ae not sure about the thing that online classes are
more convenient than offline classes, the just below the average had agreed on
this whereas a very small percentage says that they didn`t found online classes
more convenient.
➢ Majority of students didn`t face any network issue but a small percentage faces
this problem and considered is as a reason for their absenteeism during online
classes.
➢ Here a clear distinction is difficult as the students in almost same proportion or
with a minimal difference says that one who are finding the same value of
money where as the the other who are not finding the same value of money that
they might get from offline classes.
➢ Level of motivation is high in online classes also as compared to offline classes.
➢ Personal connect with teacher is something that students are really missing in
online classes that they could find in offline classes, still there is majority of
students who are not facing this problem.
➢ Students’ concentration level is high in online classes also as compared to
offline classes.
➢ Understanding capacity during online classes is also high in online classes.
➢ Majority of students prefer textbooks and offline study materials and online
assignments for their study.

CONCLUSION
EduMentor Educational Services Pvt Ltd has been growing rapidly ever since its
coming to business. The Company has been extremely successful in differentiating its
product with those of its competitors. The research and efforts put in while preparing
the material can easily be analysed.
The company is proactive in its approach and is always ready to experiment with new
marketing strategies to market their product well. The online campaigns and strategies
implemented this year have been of huge success. In the coming years it can sell e-
material online through payment gateway.
The Company is doing well in terms of business but it still has to beat the market leader.
All strategies adopted by it have been fruitful and it has been able to carve a niche
market for itself. Year after year, it’s gaining reputation and a strong foothold in this
industry. The fact that it has just spread in Delhi /NCR in past few years is bitter but for
a new entrant in the market, there couldn’t have been a better strategy. The way it has
firmly put its footsteps in this market, even the market leader IMS doesn’t feel safe.
EduMentor Educational Services Pvt Ltd had enrolled more than 3500 students this year
which is an achievement in itself. This year company has highest no of enrolments of
B.El.Ed.
Hence, the journey of EduMentor Educational Services Pvt Ltd has been great till now
with its revenue growing year after year. No wonder the Company will soon occupy the
number one position in the market with its differentiated product, quality service, and
focus on customer satisfaction.
41 | P a g e
RECOMMENDATIONS
➢ Customer services is something that could make or break your company so it`s
good that a majority of students experience is good with Edu mentor that is
impressive but each and every possible step should be taken to know the reason
behind the percentage who had not rated it good (even if it is very less) with Edu
mentor, this could be done with one- to-one sessions, feedback or with call etc.
➢ Company`s offline classes are really appreciated more or liked more than the
online classes may be because of any reason that means they should go for
offline classes for sure when the situations get improved related to covid 19.
➢ If company want to go for online mode of classes, then it could go for it but
keeping it as option or part of their services instead of completely adopting this
as there is a percentage of students who will prefer online classes in future also
that means it has a scope which can`t be denied at all.
➢ If company is taking online model of classes, then it should think upon teacher
one –on- one connects with students that they used get in offline classes and the
steps should be taken in consideration by making classes more interactive, the
online quizzes can be organized and GD can be organized so that the students
feel motivated during live online classes.
➢ Company should take textbook in consideration whether they are offering online
or offline classes as students are able to concentrate more when they read from
textbooks and offline materials. So, students are definitely liking Edu mentor’s
textbook thus Edu mentor should create more textbooks for students and off
course it could bring its textbooks in market also if students are liking it more.
➢ Instead of taking a lot of students in one batch during online classes a small
number of students could be taken to make classes more efficient and to give
attention on each and every student so that they could feel that the experience is
same as of offline classes.
