Q.1. Read the passage given below :
Man and his deeds are two constant things. Whereas a good deed should call forth approbation and a wicked
deed, disapprobation, the doer of the deed whether good or wicked, always deserves respect or pity as the
case may be. ‘Hate the sin not the sinner’ is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely
practised, and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world. This form of Ahimsa is the basis os search
for truth. I am realising everyday that the search is vain unless it is founded on Ahimsa as the basis. It is quite
proper to resist and attract a system but to resist and attack its author is tantamount to resisting and attacking
oneself. For we are all tarred with the same brush, and the children of one and the same creator and as such
the divine powers within us are infinite. To slight a single human being is to slight those divine powers and thus
to harm not only that being but with the whole world.

A fraction (from Latin fractus, "broken") represents a part of a whole or, more generally, any
number of equal parts. When spoken in everyday English, a fraction describes how many parts of
a certain size there are, for example, one-half, eight-fifths, three - quarters. A common fraction is a
numeral which represents a rational number. That same number can also be represented as a
decimal, a percent, or with a negative exponent. For example, 0.01, 1%, and 10-2 are all equal to
the fraction 1/100. An integer can be thought of as having an implicit denominator of one (for
example, 7 equals 7/1).The reciprocal of a number is 1 divided by that number. So, for example,
the reciprocal of 3 is 1 divided by 3, which is 1/3. The reciprocal of a reciprocal is the original
number.
