    Big Events along the OTDA Value Chain in 2018 2018-12-11


    In earlier years, as a by-product in the production of TDI, OTDA was disposed of by
    domestic manufacturers through incineration. But now OTDA is generally sold to
    downstream manufacturers as its new applications are discovered. At present, it is
    mainly used in rigid-foam polyester polyols and TTA (corrosion inhibitor). The
    latter accounts for more than half of the total OTDA demand. Big events in OTDA
    market 1. In August 2018, Huludao Lianshi Chemicals acquired 100% ownership of
    Liaoning Beifang Jinhua Polyurethane’s 50k t/a TDI facility. 2. With a registered
    capital of 1.013 billion yuan, Xinjiang Heshan Juli Chemical was established in
    August 2010. With the planned investment totalling 3 billion yuan, the Company’s

    Mattress Foam Fire in INDIA 2018-12-10


    Three people were charred to death to death as a fire broke out inside a godown, where mattress and sofa foam were
    kept, near Barnala on Tuesday. Barnala SSP Harjeet Singh said they had information that some employees were
