LAC SESSION GUIDE

SESSION
Converting Print Learning Resource Materials to Accessible and Inclusive Non- Print
Learning Resource Materials and SIMs
DURATION OF SESSION 180 minutes
KEY UNDERSTANDING TO BE The participants should be able to understand the
DEVELOPED guidelines in in writing action research.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES a. Orient and reorient teachers on the test


construction
b. Acquire an in-depth discussion on guidelines
and standards in test construction
c. craft at least one (25) test items based on the
test construction standards
RESOURCES The following resource materials will be
utilized during the school-based learning action
cell:
a. Program Materials (certificates)
b. Equipment (LCD projector, laptop, speaker,
microphone)
c. Training Materials (coupon bond, manila
paper, pentel pen)

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY (optional) The facilitator will explain the norms and purpose of
the SLAC session.

ACTIVITY Activating Schema Knowledge


 The participants will be grouped into small
groups and will answer the following prompts using
meta cards:
- What are the problems that you encounter in
constructing test items?
- How did you resolve that problems?
ANALYSIS The participants will be asked to share their insights
to the group. The facilitator will take note of the
highlights of the activity and will draw analysis from
the participants using the following prompt questions?
- How can students benefit these test
construction?
- How can these test construction help our
students?
ABSTRACTION/GENERALIZATION The facilitator will discuss the following topics:
A. Walkthrough Of The Most Essential
Learning Competencies
B. Revisit Of Classroom Assessment
C. Guidelines And Considerations In
Preparing Objective Type Of Tests -
Multiple Choice Part 1
D. Guidelines And Considerations In
Preparing Objective Type Of Tests -
Multiple Choice Part 2
E. Guidelines And Considerations In
Preparing Objective Type Of Tests - Dual
Choice Type
F. Guidelines And Considerations In
Preparing Objective Type Of Tests -
Supply Type
G. Workshop On Test Construction And
Presentation Of Outputs

APPLICATION The facilitator will guide the participants in the


hands-on activity for test construction. The
participants will also craft an endorsement letter for
the submission of proposal to the Division Office.
CONCLUDING ACTIVITY The LAC proponent will collect the output from the
participants. In addition to this, the facilitator will also
lead the participants in accomplishing SLAC reflection
form and other relevant documents.
