Introduction
Introduction
This chapter covers the “Bill of Materials” for IBM Information Management Products,
including; IBM FileNet P8 5.5.x, IBM BAW 21.0.x - IBM Workflow Center 8.6.1.1900x, IBM
Case Manager 5.3.3, IBM Case Analyzer 5.5, IBM Content Navigator 3.0.x and IBM Content
Foundation 5.5.x. It also covers the download of the supporting software systems; IBM Cloud
Private and IBM FileNet P8 CPIT, IBM Security Directory Services 6.4, IBM Security Directory
Suite 8.x, IBM WebSphere 8.5.5.20 (Minimum support for IBM FileNet 5.5.9), IBM CEBI
Content Engine Bulk Import Document Batch Tool, IBM Content Search Services 5.5.x, IBM
Case Monitor Dashboard 5.3.x plugin, IBM Case Manager Auto Claims example, Oracle 12C
on the Linux operating system and LibreOffice 6.3.x.
The Chapter describes the download site URLs, Product Codes, Descriptions and size and
name of the download gzip tar files for each Software Download. It also describes the
summary contents of each of the available IBM Redbook publications which support the use
of the IBM software products listed.

Objectives
After studying this unit, you will be able to identify the prerequisite versions of the supporting
software components required for support of a number of the leading IBM Software
Application Systems, including

• IBM FileNet for Document Management and Storage

• IBM Business Automation Workflow
• IBM Case Management

1.1 -IBM Resources

The IBM FileNet latest release, has the dependencies and related IBM Software Products
covered by the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation up to V 21.0.3 (V22.0.1, for the
container versions) with URL reference:

upgrade the on-premise version V19.0.0.2 to V21.0.3, which we cover fully in Chapter 7,
IBM BAW 21.0.3 Upgrade Installation from BAW 18.6.1.19002, of this book.
For IBM BAW 21.0.3 on a VMware Linux server (on a Windows server host) use the following
eAssembly numbers (You will see that the download is split into 3 parts) as illustrated in Table
1.1:

We can select the Linux Operating system only, and the following server components:

For the Containers we can select all the options:

For the capabilities section we select All prerequisites:

Then just click the Submit command button to generate an example Compatibility Matrix
report. The Operating system tab shows that RedHat Linux 8.6 is supported. Also, there is a
link to the list of Linux additional library packages which are required

The pre-requisites tab of the Compatibility Matrix report has a table showing that most
releases of DB2 from 11.1 onwards are compatible with IBM FileNet Content Manager 5.5.9
(Though it should be noted that the EOL on the DB2 version may mean some of the earlier
DB2 version components will not be fully supported!)

the IBM software product compatibility reports.

1.4.1 Supporting Databases

The Content Search is sometimes required to be Case Insensitive the following procedure can
be followed to implement this.

Support for DB2 10.5 LUW or later requires Content Platform Engine 5.2 FP2 or later.
To create an expression-based index for a class property, when “force case-insensitive search”
is in effect, the steps are as follows.:

1. Connect to the object store database by using the appropriate DB2 database tool.

2. Run a command with the following syntax:

CREATE INDEX idx_name ON table_name(LOWER(column_name))

Where the table_name is the one that contains the column. For example, the table DocVersion
is for documents, table Generic is for custom objects, and table Container is for folders.
And where column_name is the name of the property column.

The name of the index, idx_name is created as shown in the following example:
CREATE INDEX lc_lname ON DocVersion(LOWER(lname))
Extended Row Size Support when using DB2 10.5 LUW with IBM FileNet Content Platform
Engine.
DB2 10.5 LUW extended rowsize support can now be used to support Content Platform
Engine tables with the total sum of column allocation sizes exceeding 32KB. This support
requires the IBM FileNet CPE 5.2 FP2 release or later.

Conclusion
In this chapter, we covered the “Bill of Materials” for the IBM software required for the related
