► SAMPLE ANSWERS
Where is your hometown?
My hometown is HCMC, which is the largest city of Vietnam with the population
of around … 14 million people.
What do you like most about your hometown?
There are so many things that I like about my hometown. You know, the people
are generous and hospitable; the street food is absolutely moreish and it is also
reasonably priced, or even dirt-cheap sometimes.
Is it a famous tourist attraction?
It certainly is, HCMC is one of the most famous tourist attractions for holiday-
makers. You know, last year only, the city enjoyed more than 10 million visits
and I think that was amazing.
Do you want to improve anything in your hometown?
Of course I do, we have lots of traffic congestion every day, which is pretty
depressing. I really want to have wider roads and better public transport system
to encourage people to limit the use of personal vehicles.
Do you prefer living rural areas or urban areas?
I prefer the former over the latter simply because I enjoy the tranquility of rural
settings. In addition, I also like to contemplate the stunning scenery there. Those
are the reasons why I like to reside in the countryside.
