DESCALER MTA
BY CIRCULATION

1) Preparation
• Empty the circuit to be descaled
• Prepare a 50% DESCALER MTA solution
• Install a fume vent at the top of the circuit to be descaled

2) Descaling
• After removing the cleaning solution, gradually add the DESCALER MTA solution. Allow this solution to circulate for
approx. 10-12 hours depending on scale thickness.
• During descaling, fumes and foam are formed. When descaling is completed, empty the circuit from the bottom, and,
where feasible, remove any scale deposits left with pressure water hose.

3) Rinsing
• Add water to the circuit
• Allow it to circulate for at least 1 hour.

Neutralisation
• Neutralise any acid residues left through circuit passivation with 1%, or 2% if in fresh water, ALKALINITY CONTROL
solution allowed to circulate for 2 hours.

BY IMMERSION BATH

Similar operations as described above:

• Prepare the solution at the required concentration (see paragraph on Dosage)
• Shake the solution (with compressed air or pump) to remove the acid film in contact with the descaled surface.

SAFETY ADVICE

This product is an acid and, although it is inhibited and buffered by a special additive limiting acid fumes, it shall be handled in
compliance with recommended safety requirements (i.e. gloves, safety goggles and, in case splashes are possible, apron and
boots). In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water or sodium bicarbonate solution.
