Re: Mrs Delma Eggleston


DOB: 18/03/1972

Mrs Eggleston is being referred to your service for further treatment and management and
She has been diagnosed with stage 2A lung cancer.

Mrs Eggleston presented with intense coughing, a change in voice, and pain in the chest,
shoulder, and back. On assessment, She was observed for Shortness of breath with harsh
sounds with each breath and a change in color and volume of sputum. Therefore, She has
undergone a chest X-ray and CT scan which came positive for a 5.5 cm tumor in the lung,
cancer cells are spreading in lymph nodes which confirmed her condition.

Subsequently, Mrs Eggleston started to receive her Chemotherapy and radiation therapy,
She was advised for four more sessions should be continued for the treatment.

Six months ago, Mrs Eggleston was diagnosed with COPD for which she is taking
Bronchodilators and corticosteroids daily. She has been receiving treatment for Diabetes
mellitus since 2001 and Hypertension since 2006. You are also requested to investigate and
discuss future surgical interventions based on the progress of the treatment and results. She
has an appointment for a follow-up CT scan after two weeks.
