GHB Conversion Chart 28 08 09-V-B

This document provides a conversion chart that allows glycosylated haemoglobin (GHb) levels to be converted to mean blood glucose (MBG), mean plasma glucose (MPG), and HbA1c. Mean Blood Glucose (MBG), Mean Plasma Glucose (MPG) and HbA1c
The glycosylated haemoglobin assay has been validated as a reliable indicator of mean blood glucose (MBG) levels
for a period of 8-12 weeks prior to determination and provides clinical assessment of long term diabetic control.
Recently, the glycohaemoglobin test has been shown to have a linear correlation with MBG results from patients
performing self-monitoring of blood glucose levels.
