Sociology and Demography

Sociology is the study of development, structure, and functioning of human society as well as social problems and social relations. Demography is the science of population that seeks to understand population dynamics through studying birth, migration, death, and aging. While demography focuses on distinct characteristics of populations, sociology also examines how population size affects social, cultural, economic, and moral aspects of society.

The study of development structure, and


functioning of human society. The study
of social problems. The study of social
activities of man and social relations
formed out of that.

 Examples of sociology could include


studying the relationship between culture
and society, examining social
movements, or researching how
communication affects human behavior.

Demography
Demography is the science of population.
Demographers seek to understand population
dynamics by investigating three main demographic
processes: birth, migration, and aging (including
death)

Demographic refers to distinct


characteristics of a population.
Researchers use demographic analysis to
whole societies or just groups of people.
Some examples of demographics are age,
see education nationality, or religion, to
name a few.

Demography is a science related with


population. It studies different aspects of
population like its size, density, effects of
birth sate, migration, etc.

There are many aspects common to


demography and sociology, such as size
of population, illiteracy, family planning,
etc. The size of population is studied
under demography, but the size of
population affects the social cultural,
economics and moral aspects of society.
