F. Budgetary Requirement : Php 200,000.00

II. RATIONALE

Jamindan is located at the central portion of Panay Island, it is 49.5


kms. away from Roxas City, bounded in the north by province of Aklan, in the
north east by mambusao, west by province of antique and in the south by
municipality o tapaz. It is the biggest municipality in terms of land area with
41,358.49 hectares, comprising 30 barangays with a total population 36,677
(Philippine Statistic Authority Data 2015) large portion is forest land consist of
25,338.62has but gradually denuded due to rampant kaingin system.
The locality has a large potential for agro-forestry and high value crop
production. This aims the LGU to help alleviate the living conditions of the
farmers, various planning and strategic workshop output resulted to come up with
a project to increase the income of farmer and establish Plant Propagation area
and introduction of mini plant nursery and dispersal program of high value
commercial crop seeds and planting materials.
This intention will be managing and supervise by the Office of Municipal
Agriculturist and Eco Center facility unit of LGU Jamindan.
The Project will be supervised and monitor by the Local Government Unit
and the Office of Municipal Agriculturist

III. OBJECTIVES

• To provide available seedlings needed in the locality


• To enhance and develop the potential of Vegetable production
• To encourage the community in utilizing local resources and locally grown fruits
and high value crops.

IV. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT


The proponent of this project are 20 registered Farmers Association with a total of
760 Farm families for dispersal and propagation/distribution of readily available grown
seedlings and cuttings.
