How are the tables and chairs/desks arranged?
3. What learning materials/equipment are present?
4. Observe the students. How many are occupying one room?
5. Is the room well-lit and well-ventilated?
Answers;
1. As I observe in every classroom that my cooperating teacher has entered, every classroom's walls
have unique designs and displayed things: sayings from life, posted NVGWAGI (talk about solid
waste management), evacuation maps, safety protocol reminders, books, dioramas, and Bible
verses. I did not see any heroes or even our president's pictures or figures posted inside the
classroom.
2. Some classroom has a 2 teachers table 1 in the front and the other one is at the back and it is made
of woods that has a drawer. The student chairs are made of wood and plastic, and they are
designed for right-handed students. Each classroom that my cooperating teacher has entered has a
minimum of 30 and a maximum of 45 chairs, which are arranged in two or three rows.
3. The classroom includes a TV monitor, student desk, books, some dioramas, and a blackboard,
among other things available learning resources and tools.
4. Base on my observation on what my cooperating teacher entered classrooms, a minimum of 30 and
a maximum of 45 students. Some of the classroom that my cooperating teacher entered has a small
in space but well ventilated.
5. Yes, it is properly ventilated, they have stand fans, ceiling fans and some rooms has a aircon.

CLASSROOM FACILITIES MATRIX
1. Wall Displays The classroom is decorated with cleverly designed wall displays.
It's in the side, back, and front of the classroom. And every
classroom has also a displayed NVGCHS Vision and Mission and
some sayings in life.
2. Teacher’s Table Some of the classrooms that my cooperating teacher entered have
two teacher's tables in the front of the room, and other rooms
have one in the back. The tables are well organized; some tables
have drawers where teachers put their files.
3. Learner’s Desks The student chairs are made of wood and plastic, and they are designed
for right-handed students. Each classroom that my cooperating teacher
has entered has a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 45 chairs, which
are arranged in two or three rows.
4. Blackboard The blackboard is set up in front, which is the typical site for
installation. There is one blackboard in each room, and it is kept
clean. There is also some classroom has mixed white board and a
blackboard in front of the classroom.
5. Learning Materials/Visual Aids The most common learning tools I've seen are books and visual
aids. Both the teacher and the students can access these because
they are placed in a suitable place. Some books are in a good
condition.
Name of The School Observed; Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School
Location of the School; Along Dumlao Boulevard and Mabini St.
Date to Visit; October 20, 2021
I observed that some areas of the school are kept up and clean as I walked around the campus.
Every classroom is welcoming and pleasant for learning, and they greatly aid in energizing students during
the learning process. The school's surroundings and ambiance are quite appealing because the colors of
the buildings are quite calm in eyes, and other teachers and students are very welcoming. The gate is well
guarded so no one can easily enter unless you have an important thing to do inside. Students can't easily
go outside if it is not time for them to go outside. The various offices and rooms left an impression on me.
Additionally, they have a garden that demonstrates the importance of the environment on campus on a
healthy lifestyle by growing medicinal plants, as well as for aesthetic purposes. The rooms are generally
clean and odor-free, although I do notice some that are not (boy’s Comfort room). Overall, the school
offers a pleasant learning environment, however there are some areas that may be improved.
ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students going to
school?
School campus and classroom policies are implemented for the students' good learning environment,
and as I observe, students are diligent and courteous in following every policy that the campus has
with the help of their teachers.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ how does this relate to your
knowledge of facilitating learning?
As the students grow up, we must fill their minds and thoughts with beautiful and good things.
Because as children, they must be guided carefully, because as they grow, their minds are on
processing and exploring things, so as future teachers, we will be the ones who help parents guide and
teach their children good things as they grow up.
REFLECT
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observe? Why? Why not?
Yes, I would like to teach in this school because, as I observe, it is challenging and enjoyable at the
same time, and that’s the part that I want to experience when I teach in this school.
