1.0 PURPOSE

To provide guidelines for proper pulling of cable in conduits

2.0 SCOPE

 Cable pulling and installation


 Insulation resistance testing

3.0 PROCEDURES
3.1 Preparation:
 Check that all containment are completely installed from
designated equipment locations to work area and
make sure that the above containment are free from sharp

 Clean and barricade the area where the boxes of cable to


be
positioned and remove any barriers/obstruction that may
damage the cable.

3.2 Cable Pulling:

 Position all boxes of cable on a secured or barricaded area.
 Measure the cable according to the length needed in every
devices point.
 Put a temporary label on both ends using permanent
marker or
masking tape to identify the cable easily.
 Pull the cable according to the pulling tension standard of
25
lbs.
