    Answer the following questions:
    1: Write a central idea of this poem.
    Ans: Through the poem “Teach the children”, the poet advises his
    readers to avoid social evils. As we know, children learn everything from
    the elders so as elders we should teach them to avoid hatred, look
    beyond prejudice, learn right from wrong, learn a right way to live, love
    fellow beings and be willing to give. If we act like this, we can save the
    humanity.
    2: What should we teach our children according to the poet?
    Ans: We should teach our children a right way to live, to love our fellow
    man and be willing to give.
    3: Why so many people get burned?
    Ans: So many people get burned because of hate and prejudice.
    4: How do our children learn things from us?
    Ans: Our children watch and learn from our actions and words.
    5: When should we hope that humanity will last?
    Ans: If the future generations will not repeat the past and will learn
    good thing form us, we all can hope that humanity will last.
    Unit # 12 Importance of work

    1: Who was lazy?
    Ans: The landlord’s son was lazy.
    2: What did the father wand from his son?
    Ans: The father wanted his son to be hard-working and responsible.
    3: Who helped the boy first time and why?
    Ans: The boy’s mother helped him the first time, she helped him
    because her hearth melted at the sight of tears in his eyes.
    4: How did the boy arrange the money the second time?
    Ans: The second time the boy’s sister gave him a ten-rupee-coin.
    5: What was the offer by the shopkeeper?
    Ans: The shopkeeper offered him twenty rupees for carrying a bag to
    someone’s house.
