TNHS 2023
General Rules, Criteria and Guidelines

PURPOSE:
To search for students who will serve as a model of ideals and values
encompassing the aspect of personality, beauty, talent and social responsibility.

GENERAL RULES/GUIDELINES:
1. Each grade level should have 2 candidates (1 male & 1 female).
2. Each grade level should give the amount of Php 1,500.00 to the school as their pot
money. The deadline for the pot money will be on February 16, 2023.
3. Each grade level should be responsible for the candidate’s trainer and outfits.
4. Each grade level candidate should be at the venue 30 minutes before the call time.
5. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in
case of any untoward behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled
activity.
6. Prior to the pageant night, the candidates shall be judged according to the
following:

SWM Fantasy Eco Wear 15%


Production Number 10%
Jeans Wear 10%
School Uniform Wear 10%
Talent 15%
Interview 25%
Formal Wear (Modern Filipiñana) 15%
TOTAL 100%
*Guidelines & Criteria for Judging Best in SWM Fantasy Eco Wear:
1. The candidates SWM Fantasy Eco Wear should be made with 100% recyclable
materials.
2. Use of paints are strictly prohibited.
3. The candidates’ outfit should follow the theme, which is fantasy.
4. The candidates shall be judged according to the following:
Creativity 20%
Design Concept 20%
Best Use of Materials 30%
Stage Presence & Confidence 20%
Audience Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%

*Criteria for Judging Best in Production Number:


Stage Presence 30%
Mastery 30%
Projection 30%
Audience Impact 10%

*Criteria for Judging Best in Jeans Wear:


Bearing 35%
Stage Presence 25%
Projection & Delivery 30%

* Criteria for Judging Best in School Uniform:


Correctness of Uniform 40%
Poise & Bearing 25%
Stage Presence 25%

*Guidelines & Criteria for Judging Best in Talent:
1. Each pair should have 1 entry of talent.
2. The talent should be a maximum of 3 minutes.
3. If the talent exceeds the given time, the contestants will be deducted 5 points from their
final score for the talent.
4. The candidates shall be judged according to the following:
Technical Ability 35%
(Timing of Movement/Steps/Vocals,
Volume, Intonation, Diction,
Delivery, Degree of Difficulty)
Stage Appearance 10%
(Appropriate Attire and Personality
and Poise)
Uniqueness of Talent 25%
(Creativity, Talent ability and
Effectiveness)
Overall Performance 30%

*Guidelines & Criteria for Judging Best Speaker:


1. The interview will be picture analysis.
2. There are 12 pictures to be shown to each candidate so that they can prepare their
interpretation of the said pictures.
3. The language to be used in explaining/interpreting the picture is English only.
4. During the pageant, each candidate will pick the picture they will explain/interpret from
the bowl.
5. Each candidate will be given at least 2 minutes to explain the picture.
6. The candidates shall be judged according to the following:
Articulation, Diction, 40%
Grammar
Delivery and Choice of 30%
Words
Relevance, Content and 30%
Wit _____

Poise & Bearing 40%
Carriage 30%
Beauty 20%
Elegance & Sophistication 20%

*Criteria for Judging Best in Formal Wear (Modern Filipino):
Poise & Bearing 40%
Carriage 30%
Beauty 30%

*Guidelines for Judging Social Media Award:


1. Each candidate’s Portrait Photo will be posted in our official Facebook page Tayawan
National HIGH School.
2. The photos will be posted on MONDAY, February 20, 2023.
3. The award will be given to the candidate with most Likes or Hearts or Wows and
Shares.
4. The SSG will count all the Likes or Hearts or Wows and Shares per candidate on
THURSDAY, February 23, 2023 at exactly 6PM.
5. The SSG will choose two winners. (1 male and 1 female)
6. The winners will be awarded on the awarding ceremony.
1 Likes or Hearts or Wows = 1 point
1 Share = 1 point

*Guidelines for Judging Crowds Favorite:


1. The SSG will prepare 1 box for each candidate.
2. Each box will have the candidates’ portrait picture.
3. The box will be placed in front of the stage.
4. The crowd will choose their favorite candidate by putting coin in its box.
5. The SSG will place each box right after the program starts. After the interview portion,
the SSG will start counting the coins.
6. The candidates’ box with the most coin will be awarded as the Crowds Favorite.
