<h2><br> HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is used to design web pages using

defines the link between web pages. A markup language is used to define the text document
within the tag which defines the structure of web pages. This language is used to annotate (make
notes for the computer) text so that a machine can understand it and manipulate text accordingly.
Most markup languages (e.g. HTML) are human-readable. The language uses tags to define what
manipulation has to be done on the text.</h2><br>
<HR>
<h2>HTML is a markup language composed by a set of elements that are the basis of its
structure. These elements conform a toolbox authors can use to shape their documents. For
example, you can find elements that insert paragraphs, videos or other documents, or elements
that mark quotations, important text or the titles of book, movies, papers and other works
The task performed by browsers is vital in this scheme, as they are responsible for the processing
and transformation of the elements into a rendered document. In this regard, authors should
consider that some elements don't have a tangible represetation: their purpose is to provide
semantic meaning to the piece of the document they affect. Sometimes, the information provided
by these semantic elements, is used by different types of user-agents (browsers, search engines,
documents processors, etc) to extract additional data about the document and its parts.
<br>Attributes are the way authors have to define properties for an element. These properties
usually change the way a browser interpret the element, by changing its meaning or presentation.
For example, the a element inserts a link in the document, but the rel attribute states the
relationship between the current document and the destination resource .</h2>
<HR>
<h1>WWW</h1>
<h2><br>The World Wide Web (WWW) is a collection of websites or web pages stored in web
servers and connected to local computers through the internet. These websites contain text pages,
digital images, audios, videos, etc. Users can access the content of these sites from any part of
the world over the internet using their devices such as computers, laptops, cell phones, etc. The
building blocks of the Web are web pages which are formatted in HTML and connected by links
called "hypertext" or hyperlinks and accessed by HTTP1. These links are electronic connections
that link related pieces of information so that users can access the desired information quickly1.
The WWW was initiated by CERN in 1989 and invented by Tim Berners-Lee.</h2><br>
<HR>
<h1>E-Commerce<h1>
<br>Whereas e-business refers to all aspects of operating an online business, ecommerce refers
specifically to the transaction of goods and services.</h2>
<HR>
<h1>ADVANTAGES</h1>
<br><h3>The lower costs of running an e-commerce store versus a physical store translate to
cost savings for the consumer. This is one of the biggest e-commerce advantages. Online prices
are typically lower than traditional store prices, and e-commerce sites are able to offer more
discounts and promotions that are easier to claim.</h3>
<br><h3>Shopping when you want from where you want is far preferable (and a whole lot safer)
than heading out in this COVID reality we’re now living in. Coronavirus aside, there’s also
something to be said about shopping from your bedroom, without having to venture out, wait in
lines, battle cold weather, and all the other challenges that go along with consumerism.</h3>
<br><h3>In the global marketplace that is the internet, consumers can buy electronics from
China, books from England, clothes from Paris, and good old US products all from the comfort
of home. The width and depth of products sold online are unbeatable.</h3>
Product descriptions
Usage videos
Product guides
Social validation
Comparison shopping is another one of the top benefits of e-commerce to consumers, who can
easily compare products, brands, and websites with even side-by-side comparison possible.
Many comparison shopping sites exist with the sole purpose of enabling consumers to compare
products side-by-side based on price and discount metrics.</h3>
<br><h3>In an age where time is a rare commodity, shopping online provides massive time
savings to the consumer. Since 63% of consumers start their shopping journey online, it makes
sense to be able to buy where you already are (Thinkwithgoogle, 2018).
No need to head out, shop in-store, wait in line, and then journey back home when you can
access a greater product variety at a lower price from the comfort of home.</h3>
<HR>
<h1>DISADVANTAGES</H1>
<h2><br><b>1.Lack of Personal Touch:</b> Customers lack the facility of touching and feeling
products in case of online shopping. They are sometimes more satisfied by purchasing at
physical outlets by properly checking the product before buying.
<br><b>2.No Guarantee about Product Quality:</b> Customers cannot get ensured regarding
the quality of products available online. They may be cheated by companies and receive faulty
products.
<br>3.Security Issues: Customers may lose their essential credentials while shopping online.
There are various hackers over the internet which may steal customer’s data and may cause great
loss to them.
<br><b>5.Cannot try before Buying:</b> Customers cannot take a trial of products before
purchasing when they are doing online shopping. They don’t have a facility of negotiating the
prices and cannot acquire better information regarding usage and features of the product as in
case of the physical outlet where salesperson interacts directly.

<h1>a Sub</h1><br>
This tag in HTML is used to write text below the baseline of the text in a smaller font. This tag
can be used in many ways like we can denote some mathematical variables in the form of
subscript text.
<h1>b Sup</h1><br>
The HTML element specifies inline text which is to be displayed as superscript for solely
typographical reasons. Superscripts are usually rendered with a raised baseline using smaller
text.<br>
eg. ax2+bx+c=0<br>
<h1>c Mark</h1><br>
This tag in HTML is used to define the marked text. It is used to highlight the part of the text in a
paragraph. The tag is new in HTML 5.<br>
eg. <mark>GeeksforGeeks:</mark> It is a
<h1>d Paragraph</h1><br>
A paragraph always starts on a new line, and browsers automatically add some white space (a
margin) before and after a paragraph.
<br>eg.<p>This is a paragraph.</p>
<h1>e Font</h1><br>
The font tag was used in HTML 4 to specify the font face, font size, and color of text.
<h1>f Headings</h1><br>
h1 defines the most important heading. h6 defines the least important heading.
<br>eg.<h1>Heading 1</h1>
<h2>Heading 2</h2>
<h3>Heading 3</h3>
<h4>Heading 4</h4>
<h5>Heading 5</h5>
<h6>Heading 6</h6>
<h1>g HR</h1><br>
This tag defines a thematic break in an HTML page (e.g. a shift of topic).<br>
This element is most often displayed as a horizontal rule that is used to separate content (or
define a change) in an HTML page.<br>
<HR>
<HR>
<h1>h BR</h1><br>
This element produces a line break in text (carriage-return). It is useful for writing a poem or an
address, where the division of lines is significant.<br>
<h1>i Pre</h1><br>
The pre tag in HTML is used to define the block of preformatted text which preserves the text
spaces, line breaks, tabs, and other formatting characters which are ignored by web
browsers.<br>
<h1>j Blockquote</h1><br>
Browsers usually indent blockquote elements (look at example below to see how to remove the
indentation).<br>
eg.<blockquote cite="http://www.worldwildlife.org/who/index.html">
For 50 years, WWF has been protecting the future of nature. </blockquote>

Hypertext defines the link between web pages. A markup language is used to define the text

Most markup languages (e.g. HTML) are human-readable. The language uses tags to define what
manipulation has to be done on the text.
HTML is a markup language used by the browser to manipulate text, images, and other content,
in order to display it in the required format. HTML was created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991.
The first-ever version of HTML was HTML 1.0, but the first standard version was HTML 2.0,
published in 1995.
<h1>Elements of HTML</h1>
HTML page structure: The basic structure of an HTML page is laid out below. It contains the
essential building-block elements (i.e. doctype declaration, HTML, head, title, and body
elements) upon which all web pages are created.
!DOCTYPE html: This is the document type declaration (not technically a tag). It declares a
document as being an HTML document. The doctype declaration is not case-sensitive.
html: This is called the HTML root element. All other elements are contained within it.
head: The head tag contains the “behind the scenes” elements for a webpage. Elements within
the head aren’t visible on the front-end of a webpage. HTML elements used inside the <head>
element include:
style-This html tag allows us to insert styling into our webpages and make them appealing to
look at with the help of CSS.
title-The title is what is displayed on the top of your browser when you visit a website and
contains title of the webpage that you are viewing.
base-It specifies the base URL for all relative URL’s in a document.
noscript– Defines a section of HTML that is inserted when the scripting has been turned off in
the users browser.
script-This tag is used to add functionality in the website with the help of JavaScript.
meta-This tag encloses the meta data of the website that must be loaded every time the website is
visited. For eg:- the metadata charset allows you to use the standard UTF-8 encoding in your
website. This in turn allows the users to view your webpage in the language of their choice. It is
a self closing tag.
link– The ‘link’ tag is used to tie together HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is self closing.
body-The body tag is used to enclose all the visible content of a webpage. In other words, the
body content is what the browser will show on the front-end.
An HTML document can be created using any text editor. Save the text file using .html or .htm.
Once saved as an HTML document, the file can be opened as a webpage in the browser.

The <b>font</b> tag in HTML plays an important role in the web page to create an attractive
and readable web page.
The font tag is used to change the color, size, and style of a text. The base font tag is used to set
all the text to the same size, color and face.
example-
The HTML <b>basefont</b> tag defines the default font-family, font-size and color for the text
in the HTML document.
Since this tag was removed in HTML5, it is recommended that you use CSS properties such as
font, font-family, font-size and color to format the text in the document. This tag is also
commonly referred to as the <basefont> element.
<h2>Image Tag</h2>
HTML <img> tag is used to add image inside webpage/website. Nowadays website does not
directly add images to a web page, as the images are linked to web pages by using the <img> tag
which holds space for the image.

<h1>Anchor</h1>
You might know that hyperlink which is a powerful means of browsing from web pages and
websites. It is developed for sending the readers or those who will perform surfing from one web
page to another without opening a new tab or window. In general, this refers to a link and is
given a reference to jump to another page, document, or from one part of the same page to
another using hypertext. So, now the question is, what hypertext is?
Hypertext can be defined as the text shown on your web browser's screen, which contains
hyperlinked data (data here means from which document it will go to which document) and
hence leads readers to different web pages by clicking on them. In this chapter, you will learn
how to create your hyperlinks and use them to build websites and web pages.
The Anchor tag in HTML can be defined as a means to create a hyperlink that can link your
current page on which the text is being converted to hypertext via <a> (anchor tag) to another
page. This anchoring from one page to another is made possible by the attribute "href", which
can be abbreviated (hypertext reference).
The attribute 'href' of the Anchor tag is implemented for defining the address or path to which
this hypertext will get linked. In other words, it can be said that it directs you out of your page to
that destination page, whose link you have mentioned within the double quotes of the href
attribute as value. The syntax for an anchor tag with href attribute looks something like this:
Since Anchor tags are used for giving hyperlinks, you might have noticed that they change color
based on certain situations, such as unvisited, clicked, visited, etc. Let's see their color code
concerning their activity:
An unvisited link gets displayed with properties like underlined, and the color is blue.
A link that is an active link gets displayed as underlined with red color.
Still, many web developers will deposit their link colors in their web pages to match their site's
color scheme.
Attribute: The anchor tag contains many attributes which are listed below.
HTML <a> charset Attribute: This attribute is used to specifies the character-set. It is not
supported by HTML 5.
HTML <a> download Attribute: It is used to specify the target link to download when the user
clicks.
HTML <a> hreflang Attribute: It is used to specify the language of the linked document.
HTML <a> coords Attribute: It is used to specify the coordinate of links. It is not supported by
HTML 5.
HTML <a> name Attribute: It is used to specify the anchor name. It is not supported by HTML 5
you can use the global id attribute instead.
HTML <a> rel Attribute: It is used to specify the relation between the current document and the
linked document.
HTML <a> shape Attribute: It is used to specify the shape of the link. It is not supported by
HTML 5.
HTML <a> rev Attribute: It is used to specify the relation between the linked document and the
current document. It is not supported by HTML 5.
<a href="#Anchor">

<pre><h1>Marquee</h1>
Marquee is one of the important tags introduced in HTML to support such scrollable texts and
images within a web page. In this tutorial, you will be learning about the Marquee tag and its
different attributes for developing a well-groomed static website.
The marquee tag is a container tag of HTML is implemented for creating scrollable text or
images within a web page from either left to right or vice versa, or top to bottom or vice versa.
But this tag has been deprecated in the new version of HTML, i.e., HTML 5.

<h2>Blockquote Tag</h2>
The blockquote tag specifies a section that is quoted from another source.
Browsers usually indent blockquote elements (look at example below to see how to remove the
indentation).
<blockquote cite="http://www.worldwildlife.org/who/index.html">
For 50 years, WWF has been protecting the future of nature. The world's leading conservation
organization, WWF works in 100 countries.
It is supported by 1.2 million members in the United States and close to 5 million globally.
</blockquote>
<HR>
<h2>q Tag</h2>
The q tag is a standard quotation tag and used for short quotation. The browser normally inserts a
quotation mark around the quotation.
For longer quotations, the blockquote tag must be used since it is a block-level element. The q
tag requires a starting as well as end tag.
example-
<HR>
<h2>abbr Tag</h2>
The abbr tag(Abbreviation) in HTML is used to define the abbreviation or short form of an
element.
The abbr and acronym tags are used as shortened versions and used to represent a series of
letters. The abbreviation is used to provide useful information to the browsers,
examle-
<HR>
<h2>address Tag</h2>
The address tag in HTML indicates the contact information of a person or an organization. If
address tag is used inside the body tag then it represents the contact information of the document
and if the address tag is used inside the article tag, then it represents the contact information of
the article.
The text inside the address tag will display in italic format. Some browsers add a line break
before and after the address element.
example-
D4/21A,<address>New Delhi</address>
<HR>
<h2>cite Tag</h2>
The cite tag defines the title of a creative work (e.g. a book, a poem, a song, a movie, a painting,
a sculpture, etc.).
example-
<HR>
<h2>tt Tag</h2>
The tt tag is the abbreviation of teletype text. This tag is depreciated from HTML 5. It was used
for marking Keyboard input. It was mainly used for formatting purposes. This tag was used in
HTML 4(Not Supported in HTML5).
example-
<HR>
<h2>bdo Tag</h2>
The bdo stands for Bi-Directional Override. This tag is used to specify the text direction or used
to change the current direction.
example-
<a href=file:///C:/Users/welc/OneDrive/Desktop/page4.html>Previous</a>
<a href=file:///C:/Users/welc/OneDrive/Desktop/Index.html>Index</a>
