Since 1995 the Subtech Group has specialised in the provision of marine and sub-sea services throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. We are
headquartered in Durban, South Africa and have operational bases in Namibia (Walvis Bay), South Africa (Cape Town), Mozambique (Maputo, Beira,
Nacala, and Pemba). Our wealth of industry experience, together with our geographical reach and range of services, enables us to offer clients a
comprehensive solution to all their marine related requirements, and backing up our operational experience is ISO 9001:2015 certification as well as

Quality Assurance
As a leader in the marine industry, Subtech understands and embraces its responsibility to provide a safe working environment to all personnel on all work sites. In
addition, Subtech is committed to adhering to environmental legislation and all operations are carried out with minimal impact to the environment. The Subtech SHEQ
policy manages all of our activities from strategic health, safety and environmental to quality plans. These policies are based on management commitment and
accountability, high safety and environmental standards, appropriate levels of training and a system of performance management, which addresses shortcomings in
a just and equitable manner.
All of Subtech’s operations are guided by our internal Integrated Management System. This system measures to ISO 9001:2015 for quality, ISO 14000 for
environmental and OHSAS 18000 for safety and health purposes. By utilising an Integrated Management System we are able to monitor and document our SHEQ
compliance. Subtech has incorporated the IMCA guidelines into our operating systems to ensure that we comply with all International Safety Standards related to the
marine contractors’ environment.
African Focus
We maintain and comply with IMCA and OGP guidelines for all diving operations, our Subsea and Topside inspections activities are accredited with all major
classification societies.
Our resources allow the provision of subsea and inspection services in neighbouring regions such as Nigeria and EG and we are able to provide a readily deployable
services expanding from Congo to Ghana within 7 days notice.

Subsea
Subtech’s dedicated Subsea Division has enjoyed 20 years of Global operations, including Africa, Gulf of Mexico and the Middle
East, providing services to Majors, Super Majors and Contractors. During this period a highlight was our extensive period in the Gulf
of Mexico, providing subsea services during Hurricane Katrina clean-up operations. This served as an experience enabler, and
facilitated our transition to major diving operations, including Air and Saturation diving.

Salvage
Subtech’s Salvage Division has established itself as a reliable and cost effective emergency response service provider with standby teams on call 24/7 to assist
with emergencies. Our geographical spread extends from Tanzania to Namibia, including the Western Indian Ocean Islands, and our personnel have operating
experience throughout Africa. In an industry where time often equals enormous financial loss, Subtech takes pride in having the resources, manpower and
experience to attend to all marine casualties promptly.
Subtech boasts an impressive resume of salvage experience, including LOF's, refloating of grounded vessels, pollution control and wreck removal. Subtech is
also a member of the International Salvage Union (ISU).
Subtech is partnered with Ardent Global Marine Services (Svitzer & Titan) within Sub-Saharan Africa. This partnership adds the salvage, decommissioning and
wreck removal expertise of Ardent to the unparalleled local knowledge, extensive infrastructure and response capability of Subtech. Based in Cape Town Ardent

Marine
Subtech Marine Division is a provider of specialised maritime solutions, operating on the east and west coasts of Southern Africa
since 1995. The Division is responsible for managing the group’s fleet of vessels and providing all logistical support, including; marine
equipment, stores, spares, provisions and crewing. We have also managed the fabrication of new-build barges and dry-dockings.
Our fleet consists of a wide range of offshore support and supply vessels, barges and small craft, which together offer facilities for lifting,
towing and floating work platforms thus enabling all types of marine services. Subtech has extensive experience as an owner / operator
and the other Divisions of the group provide broad opportunities for the Marine Division in coastal towing, barge handling and
movement, construction support, floating cranes and piling off a floating platform.
Through our strategic alliances with leading international maritime companies, we are able us to offer a multitude of tugs, dumb barges,
jack-up barges and off-shore support vessels to suit your specific requirements.
Marine Support
As a result of our extensive range of marine assets, Subtech is able to provide flexible yet professional marine support services to the
offshore industry throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.

We offer a comprehensive vessel management service, providing vessel owners with professional service and expertise on an operational,
technical and commercial level.
Survey
Subtech Group’s Survey Division offers a total solution for near-shore survey requirements. This includes all facets of project management including, desktop studies,
survey planning, data collection, sediment sampling, ore reserve calculations, map generation and report writing. All tasks are performed in-house, a factor which
enables delivery on our commitment to quick project turn-around time.
The Survey Division is well versed in providing survey support on all marine construction and dredging operations requiring accurate bathymetric surveys and
volumetric calculations for the marine industry. Our crews are supported by competent shore management teams (marine operations management, technical
management and crew management) with extensive experience in the maritime industry and hard-earned knowledge of the complications of working throughout the
African continent.
Subtech has formed strategic alliances with companies in the geophysical survey industry which enables Subtech to offer near shore geophysical survey and reports
on harbour developments, pipeline routes, cable routes, jetties and general site survey requiring coastal engineering. All of these solutions are enhanced by our
in-depth understanding of the stratigraphy and sedimentary structures of the east coast of Southern Africa south of the equator.

Projects
Subtech is one of South Africa’s premier operators in marine construction and support services. We specialise in challenging projects and pride
ourselves in our ability to innovate and engineer solutions to the most complex marine problems.
Marine Projects
Our engineering and construction teams have collectively been involved in most of the port construction that has taken place in Southern Africa
since 1995. Subtech offers a full range of marine construction services including marine piling support, scour protection, confined dredging
and capital dredging support, underwater demolitions, underwater concreting, preparation of caisson beds and caisson placement.
Our assets consist of tugs,barges, cranes, derricks, specialist lifting and rigging systems, winches, mooring systems, and dredging tools.

Subtech has extensive experience in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of submarine pipelines of all sizes and materials
including HDPE, GRP and steel pipelines. This experience includes various methods of installation, cathodic protection and repair. As an
example, Subtech has successfully completed an HDPE pipeline welding repair at sea by developing purpose built equipment to provide
a static welding platform aboards of an anchored barge.

As a vessel owner / operator, Subtech Projects draws on experience and expertise from Subtech Group’s Subsea, Salvage, Survey,
and Marine Divisions and we are a trusted partner of some of the world’s largest freight forwarding companies.
We have the ability to provide turnkey solutions as well as customised cable related packages tailored for clients in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This includes the capacity to provide solutions for installation, inspections, post lay burial and repairs in shallow water.
Cable Installation
Subtech has an extensive fleet for shallow water operations. Our capabilities extend to the 20m contour and we offer the following

• Technical Partner with STC Group & Workships Contractors in the ROTC Training Centre in Pemba, Mozambique

The Training and Development Division seeks to ensure that all Training & Development for the Subtech Group – both external and internally focussed - is aligned to
Company Business Objectives and in support of industry scarce and critical skill needs. We are in the unique position of being able to complement training already
available in the market with experiential, on-the-job training – a critical part of ensuring competent human resources are available to industry and addressing the three
main aims of Operation Phakisa – Skills Development, Job Creation and Poverty Alleviation.
