Going To
Going To
June 15th
Dear Alan,
Thank you for your letter and the photo. I love the one of your
family. Tomorrow is my brother’s birthday. We are going to visit the zoo in the
morning and, in the afternoon, we are going to have a party. Next Saturday,
we’re going to travel to Margarita for a short vacation. Margarita is a very nice
place. We have a house near the beach. We’re going to swim in the sea. So,
when are you going to visit us?
Yours,
Victoria
Use for to answer questions beginning with how long. For is usually followed by
a period of time – a number of hours, days, weeks, months, years, etc.
Now you try! Using the questions in the box as a guide, write
and act out a dialogue in which you tell a friend about your
vacation plans.
How are you going to get there? How long are you going to stay?
What are you going to take with you? How much are you going to spend?
