I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the prevention, detection, and treatment of diseases
affecting the circulatory and respiratory system.
B. Performance Standard
The learners should be able to conduct an information dissemination activity on effective ways of taking
care of the respiratory and circulatory systems based on data gathered from the school or local health
workers.
C. Learning Competency
Infer how one’s lifestyle can affect the functioning of respiratory and circulatory systems (S9LTlc-27)
D. Objectives (KSA)
At the end of the 60minutes discussion, 85% of the learners are expected to
a. explain the effects of cigarette smoking on the circulatory and respiratory system;
b. identify the different illnesses/diseases of the cardiorespiratory systems; and
c. appreciate the importance of having a healthy lifestyle to avoid diseases.
