BIOFUEL FLIGHT INITIATIVE

 BRA biofuel flight

• On February 1st 2017, an ATR 72-600 of the Swedish carrier BRA flew
from Stockholm-Bromma to Umeå with a blend of conventional fuel
and biofuel.
• The aircraft was fuelled at a high rate of biofuel: 45% used cooking oil.
• On this occasion, CEO C. Scherer stood with BRA CEO to support the
development of a local biofuel industry.

 Biohub project with Airbus & Total

• A regional initiative, the “biohub” project involves local industrial players, incl. ATR, Airbus
and Toulouse Airport.
• It aims at fostering the emergence of a local biofuel industry.
• In the deployment phase, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport will provide a rate of biofuel directly into its
standard fuel pumps.
• ATR is committed to use a blend of biofuel for its internal operations (flight test campaigns).
• The deployment of the project should start by Q3 2017.
