Why does it
matter
Climate and weather are two things that seem the same and if not similar to
the average, everyday person. The answer to the question 'Are climate and
weather the same?' is no, but why? To fully comprehend this answer, we
must begin with the definition of climate, weather and difference.
However, why does this matter. Well, one of the main reasons is climate
change. Climate change is a threatening situation thus, causing demand for
education on it. Especially education on climate and weather to eliminate
misconceptions on the subject that often relate to confusion with the
weather like ‘Recent global warming is caused by the sun.’ (Lean and Rind).
Furthermore, climate and weather affect us in everyday life, the weather
affects what we do day-to-day. The climate, of a country, affects a majority
of things, like what food can grow there. If it is endangered, this can cause
huge problems
Climate change is a recurring topic in this matter as, unlike the weather, it
poses threatening situations.
These being:
• Melting ice and rising seas.
• Extreme weather, shifting rainfall.
• Consequences for Europe.
• Consequences for developing countries.
• Risks for human health.
• Costs for society and economy.
• Risks for wildlife.

The primary causes of climate change are the burning of fossil fuels that
release carbon dioxide into the air, causing the planet to heat up. Thus,
resulting in these situations. Understanding how this affects climate and
what it means allows room for urgent change. Of course, many could argue,
