Steps:
a) In menubar goto PROJECT tab → New → Give Project Name(eg.
Testmacro)→ok
b) In Project properties→ change “ Type project”→ Macro project

c) Go to structure tab
d) Make change in Pagina’s option: click on browse …

e) Make all structure set to “Niet Beschikbaar” except “Gebruikergedefinieerde structuur” set it
to “identificerend” then →ok → & ok

f) Go to Page Navigator→ right click on project
name (testmacro) click New
g) In the new page → click browse→ in
gebruikergedefinieerde structure fill
name(eg:AA)and ok

2. Creating an Article with it’s variant:
Steps:
a) In a macroproject on a page, Insert a macrovak ; Give Name &variant. All macrovak for diffferent variants must
have same ODC.
(If you have several variants then draw several macrovak & select variant A,B,C etc with same ODC.)
b) Inside macro vak; draw apparaatkast/plckast. Give ODC & other details. All apparaat kast of different variant
must have same ODC. Deselect hoofdfunctie of all apparaatkast.
Or Draw a Symbol, Give ODC and deselect hoofdfunctie of the symbol.
or you can also draw a PLC kast in macrovak. Give ODC and deselect hoofdfunctie of the PLCKast.
c) Draw apparaat aansluiting inside apparaatkast; deselect hoofdfunctie.
d) Select apparaatkast & drawing inside the kast & group them all together.
Or select the symbol made inside macrovak & group them all together.
e) Right click on macrovak& select macro maken. Give name and browse for its correct location and folder.
[ Location: Eplan→ stemgegevens→ macro’s → Mee→ create folder for your macro(e.g. safeline)]
f) shortcut: If you have several macrovak on your page & want to create maco in few clicks then ➔ select your
page in page navigator → Go to projectgegeven → macro’s →Automatic generate.
g) Now go to your schema project; Insert Macro’s of all variants with tab button.
(Note ➔ If all variants have different terminals then place all variants in schemaproject, If all variants have
repeated terminals then place only one variant with unique terminals. Don’t place a variant which has repeated
terminals).
h) Select any 1 variant & double click, Tick hoofd functie
Now in the same variant Go to Article tab. Give article number & OK.
i) Right click on macro and click Article generate ok and click yes to actualization.
j) Now Article beheer window will get open,
Go to general tab, fill article detail and comany name.
Go to technical details , insert your macro file
go to documents tab , attach the relevant document if you have any.
Go to functiesjablon tab, check numer of terminals of your article.
then toepassen & Sluiten. Actualiseren.
k) Now Insert article & it will appear. Click tab buttons for different variants.

b) Once in the menu an article can be made by right clicking on onderdelen and create article. This will bring you to
the right menu shown in the picture above. In this menu the product group can be defined. Use the following
steps in this menu:
1) Productgroep. Choose the fitting group for the component.
2) Productsubgroep. Choose the fitting sub level for the component.
3) Fabrikant. Choose the supplier that builds the component.
4) Leverancier. Choose the supplier that you order the component from.
c) For this instruction the hand control unit is used as an example. The example is shown below.

An article with the correspending symbols can be made the following way:
1) Functiedefinitie. Describes the function of the components.
2) Aansluitcodes. Connections of the component. Will be displayed when inserted in a drawing.
3) Technische waarden. Extra description added to the component in the drawing.
4) Symbool. Repressents the graphical symbol of the function definition. Will be shown on drawing.
5) Nieuw. Button that’s used to create a new row to add a new function definition.
6) Beschrijving. Description identical to technische waarden. This will not be shown on drawing, but can be
seen in the navigator.
7) Order of functions. Slide arrow to put the components in an order. This function decides the order in which
the functions are added.
8) Keep in mind that this way of making an article does not give room to graphicly tune your component like a
macro. Once the article is inserter it can be modified to your personal style.
4. Creating a Placeholder object (Tijdelijke aanduiding-object):
Steps:
a) Draw apparatkast. draw desired terminals, and required symbols. Place a blank text in
your apparaatkast at desired location. Group everything.
b) Insert tijdelijke aanduiding object & select the created grouped apparaatkast.

c) Enter a name for placeholder object (e.g. Light)
d) Go to toekenning/Assignment tab.
1. From the page navigator, select the menu items Project > Restore > Project, or from the Project
management dialog select [Organize] > Restore.
2. Use the [...] button in the Backup directory field in the dialog Restore project to select the directory in
which the backed up projects (.zw1) are located.
The backed up projects contained in the selected directory are displayed in the Projects list.
If the directory contains split backup files, only the *.000.zw1 file is displayed, the other backup files
belonging to the same project (*.001.zw1, *.002.zw1, etc.) are not shown.
4. Use the [...] button in the Target directory dialog to select the target directory to where the data backup
should be restored.
5. If you have only selected a single project, in the Project name field you can change the name of the project
to avoid overwriting an existing project.
