NARRATIVE REPORT
Classroom Orientation Meeting
Date: August 29, 2023

On August 29, 2023, a classroom orientation meeting was conducted to

ensure that students are well-informed about the rules and regulations, cleaning
responsibilities, grading system, class schedule, and the election of new officers for
the classroom, YES-O, and Barkada Kontra Droga.
Agenda 1: Classroom Rules and Regulations:
The meeting began with a discussion of the classroom rules and regulations.
During the orientation, a comprehensive overview of the guidelines that students are
expected to follow during the school year was discussed. Key points covered
included attendance, behavior, punctuality, and academic integrity. Students were
encouraged to seek clarification on any rules they didn't understand.
Agenda 2: Zones to Be Cleaned:
Following the discussion of rules and regulations, the cleaning responsibilities
were explained. The classroom was divided into specific zones, and each student
was assigned a zone to maintain cleanliness. The cleaning schedule was also
shared to ensure that every student had a clear understanding of their duties in
maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Agenda 3: Grading System:
The grading system for the academic year was explained by the subject
teachers during their allotted schedules. They provided an overview of the
assessment methods, the weightage of various assessments (such as quizzes,
projects, exams, and class participation), and the criteria for grading. It was
emphasized that academic performance is crucial and that students should strive for
excellence.
Agenda 4: Dissemination of Class Schedule:
The class schedule for the first semester was shared with the students. Any
changes or modifications to the schedule were discussed, and students were
encouraged to note these changes to ensure they were aware of their class timings
and activities.
Agenda 5: Election of New Sets of Officers:
The meeting proceeded to the election of new Classroom Officers, YES-O
(Youth for Environment in Schools Organization) representatives, and Barkada
Kontra Droga officers. Nominations were accepted, and each candidate gave a brief
speech outlining their intentions and plans if elected. A fair and transparent voting
process was conducted, and the new officers were elected by majority vote.
The classroom orientation meeting proved to be informative and productive.
Students left the meeting with a clear understanding of the rules and regulations,
their cleaning responsibilities, the grading system, the class schedule, and the newly
elected officers. It was a successful effort to establish a sense of responsibility,
transparency, and community among the students.
