OJT DAILY ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

1. Summary of Activities
During my first day of On-the-Job-Training (OJT) at Coral Bay Nickel Corporation,
I was engaged in different activities related to the company’s background. Today I
focused on gaining a better understanding of the company’s mission and vision. I
also actively participated in filling up forms such as OJT agreement, non-
disclosure agreement, and data privacy notice form. Moreover, I attended the
OJT orientation about Sumitomo Metal Mining spirit or SMM spirit, HPAL Process
or High-Pressure Acid Leaching Process, Townsite Policy, and Safety Orientation.
2. Completed Tasks
Participated in Safety Training: Attended a safety training session conducted by
the company’s safety personnel. During the orientation I learned the importance
of emergency response procedures, hazard identification, and safety protocols.
Due to that I was engaged in awareness of the company’s workplace safety and
practical exercises such as the proper way of wearing the Personal Protective
Equipment or PPE
3. Ongoing Tasks
Today, I was working on filling up the forms, which involves the agreement
between the company and the On-the-Job-Trainees whereas it contains non-
disclosure agreement and data privacy notice form.
4. Training and Learning
As I participated in safety orientation, I have learned that prevention is better than
cure. In Coral Bay Nickel Corporation their top priority is the employee’s safety
whereas they focus on preventing the hazards by providing high quality Personal
Protective Equipment or PPE for each of the company’s employee. The word
“pwede ba iyan, magagawan pa ng paraan” was neglected by them because they
ensure that each equipment being used inside the town site was above the
standard, because they believe that prevention cost much cheaper than cure.
5. Support and Collaboration
We followed the department personnel assigned to guide us and as a team we
collaborated in giving information asked to each of us (On-the-Job-Trainees). As
we go along the days, our supervisor commended us for being behave during
each of the session we attended.
6. Challenges and Solutions
The only challenge encounter is adopting to the work environment since it was
our first day. However, with the guidance of company’s personnels I quickly
adopted and became comfortable with workplace and its environment.
7. Goals for Next Day
- Attend and participate in EMCQ orientation and COMREL Orientation
- Engage in discussions with supervisors to gain insights.
8. Additional Comments or Observation
I would like to express my gratitude to Coral Bay Nickel Corporation for providing
us the opportunity to contribute and learn. The support and guidance received
from the supervisors have been invaluable throughout my first day experience on
our On-the-Job-Training.
