1 Introduction
This document describes the install/uninstall procedures for the BCR200DTP for Windows 7,
Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Operating Systems.

There are two option of installation namely:

1- Online installation through Windows update (supported for Smartcard Driver Only)
Note: Windows update requires internet connection

2- Offline installation through Product CD

In order to complete the installation, users must use the product CD to install the Sagem Biometric
(CBM) driver which is not available through Windows update.

2.1 For Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10

Ensure that Administrative Rights privileges are granted.

2.1.1 Install 32-BIT and 64- BIT Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX Redistributable

1. Insert the Product CD into the CD-ROM Drive and allow the Driver Installer to start
automatically. Otherwise, run the installer at <CD DRIVE>:\ autorun.exe.

2. The installer will check on your computer whether had installed Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX
Redistributable. If no, Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX Redistributable installers will pop-up
automatically. The installer will depend on your computer operating system bit to pop-up the
suitable Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX Redistributable installer.

3. Follow the wizard appear, until installation is completed.

4. When installation is completed, menu of Product CD will pop-up automatically.

3.1.1 Install 32-BIT and 64- BIT Driver (offline installation)

Do not connect the Reader until Driver Installation has completed.
Ensure that Administrative Rights privileges are granted.

1. Insert the Product CD into the CD-ROM Drive and allow the Driver Installer to start
automatically. Otherwise, run the installer at <CD DRIVE>:\ autorun.exe.

2. The installer will ask for uninstallation of the old version of this product before installation
started. For those installed old version before, this step is recommended.

3. Follow the wizards until BCR200DTP Driver & CBM Biometric USB Driver has been
successfully installed.

3.1.2 Uninstall
1. Unplug the BCR200DTP Reader Device from the computer.

2. Go to Control Panel -> Program and Features to remove the package

- Windows Driver Package - IRIS Corp (BCR200DTP PC/SC) USB (...) And Sagem
MorphoSmart CBM (...)

3.2 Microsoft Windows 7

3.2.1 Install 32-BIT and 64- BIT Driver (offline installation)

Do not connect the Reader until Driver Installation has completed.
Ensure that Administrative Rights privileges are granted.

1. Insert the Product CD into the CD-ROM Drive and allow the Driver Installer to start
automatically. Otherwise, run the installer at <CD DRIVE>:\ autorun.exe.

2. The installer will ask for uninstallation of the old version of this product before installation
started. For those installed old version before, this step is recommended.

3. Follow the wizards until BCR200DTP Driver & CBM Biometric USB Driver has been
successfully installed.

3.2.2 Install 32-BIT and 64- BIT (online installation – Smartcard driver only)

- Please ensure your pc is connected to internet

1. Plug in the BCR200DTP Reader Device

2. Windows will install the driver automatically through windows update

Note:
If having problem “No Driver Found”, use the alternative method to get the driver installation
accomplished.

Alternative method:

1. Plug in the BCR200DTP Reader Device

2. Go to Device manager search for BCR200DTP devices under other devices tree.
Start -> Computer (right click, select Manage) -> Device Manager

3. Then right click and select the “Update Driver Software…”

4. Once the wizards appeared, select the “Search Automatically for the updated driver
software”

5. BCR200DTP PCSC USB Driver has been installed.

6. Find the newly enumerated devices in this format

IRIS BCR200DTP xxxxxxx (CT/VS) 0x

7. Repeat step 3-5 until devices finished.

3.2.3 Uninstall

1. Unplug the BCR200DTP Reader Device from the computer.

2. Go to Control Panel -> Program and Features to remove the package

For BCR200DTP Reader PCSC

- Windows Driver Package - IRIS Corp (BCR200DTP PC/SC) USB (...) And Sagem
MorphoSmart CBM (...)

4 Installing the Device
1. Connect the BCR200DTP Reader to a PC USB Port.

2. Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10: Allow the device to install itself automatically.
