Mining is one of the best consistent money making methods in the game, current
world record is around ~110m/h and above 200m/h during a mining fiesta. However
this method requires a lot of time and money to get into, plus most people find it
extremely boring so this might not be a good option for you. If you do want to
start mining however, here's what you have to do :
* The basic goals are : HOTM level 7, 2.2m/2m powder, acquiring a decent setup.
Only then can you actually start gemstone mining for money.
* Dillo mining is the method that you're going to do. It makes around 2-3 times the
money ruby/jade makes. The only downside is that it takes an hour to setup a route
(still very worth it because of the amount of coins you can make)
* To get HOTM level 7, you need to GRIND commissions. Before HOTM level 3, you only
have access to the dwarven mines commissions, which are literally self explanatory
so I will not be explaining those in this guide.
> First, here's the gear that you should use :
* Full glacite armor with fine gems and the wise reforge. Once you get hard stone
collection level 5,s witch to using full yog armor, also with fine gems and the
wise reforge.
* Pickonimbus 300 with efficiency 5. Once you reach HOTM level 4 you should also
buy a gemstone drill LT-552. You'll be using it for the gemstone collector
commissions ni the crystal hollows. After HOTM level 6, you can replace both tools
with a gemstone gauntlet. The upgrades you should get for it depends on your
budget.
* An epic Mithril Golem pet. Once you get HOTM level 3, replace it with an
epic/legendary Armadillo.
* At that HOTM level you can also start grinding commissions in the crystal
hollows, which give more HOTM XP. Here's a simple crystal hollows commissions guide
that I made :
> When grinding comms without a royal pigeon, you'll be repeating this cycle :
- Enter the crystal hollows (use a portal that warps you directly to the crystal
nucleus, /visit implodent)
- Enter a specific area (depends on your location, I will teach you how to do each
commission in the next section)
- Complete the commission
- /warp dwarves then teleport to the minecart area
- Claim your HOTM xp and repeat
* If you have a royal pigeon however, it'll be much more simple. Just open the menu
and claim your reward.
> How to complete each commission :

* IMPORTANT NOTE : you will be using the armadillo mining method to complete
gemstone collector comms. Here's a video explaining how to do it : (note that most
of the information in the video is outdated, so you should only learn the mechanics
and auto pet rules. If you have any issues feel free to ping me)

sorrow for mining. It's a tiny upgrade from yog and not worth the absurd price.
- Boss Corleone/Crystal hunter comms : skip (unless you've setup a proper lobby for
grinding comms)
- Gemstone collector:
+ Ruby:
o Structures in Jungle or Mithril Deposits
o Mine out the veins manually
+ Amethyst: Left path of the entrance to Jungle from Nucleus
+ Sapphire: Left path of the entrance to Precursor Remnants from Nucleus
+ Jade: Right path of the entrance to Mithril Deposits from Nucleus
+ Amber: Left path of the entrance to Goblin Hideout from Nucleus. There won't be
many veins around so keep walking down the path until you find a structure (don't
really know what the name is but it always spawn in the same location with a decent
amount of veins)
+ Topaz : Go to nucleus, enter the magma fields then mine topaz
- Slayer comms:
+ Team Treasurite members:
o Find structures by running around
o Go to Corleone coords (ask in chat) then kill Team Treasurite members that
spawn around the area
o Skip this comm if it takes more than 3 minutes for you to do one of the 2
things mentioned above
+ Sludge:
o Find a Jungle temple (ask in chat) then kill sludges that spawn along the river
in the structure
+ Goblin:
o Find King Yolkar (ask in chat) then kill goblins that spawn in the area
+ Make sure you kill stray mobs that spawn while you're running around to look for
structures
+ If you setup a lobby for comms, mark down the spawn locations of these mobs
- Hard Stone Miner: Use a pickonimbus/gauntlet and mine hard stone
- Chest Looter: Use a pickonimbus/gauntlet, mine hardstone and open treasure chests
> Hotm tree: Use mithril powder for mining fortune; Gemstone powder for mole and
great explorer (stop at great explorer level 15)
> Some useful mods that you should use :

+ Soopy (waypoints, CH events display)
+ Coleweight (this one is from chattriggers)
+ Skytils (CH minimap, coords stealer)
> Once you've reached HOTM level 7, you can now start powder grinding. 2.2m/2m
powder is the recommended amount for dillo mining, which would take you around 30-
40 hours to gain
* Firstly, HOTM tree : You'll focus on these 3 main perks : Mole, Great explorer
and powder buff. I'll attach a powder upgrade order file for you to follow at the
end of this message. As for your mithril powder however, you should get 600 mining
speed from the mining speed perk first then split the rest of the powder 50/50,
between efficient miner and mining fortune.
* Area : You should powder grind in the precusor remnants. Jungle might be able to
make slightly more money but precusor remnants give you 5% more powder.
* How : warp to crystal nucleus, teleport to the precusor remnants area, pick a
corner that you want to start mining in, hold left click and start moving your
mouse in a circular pattern to maximize the amount of blocks that you can mine per
second. Once a treasure chest spawns : Look at the particles shown on the side of
the chest that has a lock until the chest is unlocked, then repeat the process.
* Useful tips :
+ Make sure that you're using NEU, Skytils and Soopy V2 as they provide many useful
features for powder grinding specifically and mining in general, such as : CH
Events notifier, Treasure chest solver, Treasure chest highlighter, Powder tracker
and more.
+ You'll always want to mine during 2X powder events :
o If you enter a lobby and there's a 2X, keep swapping lobbies until you find one
that has the most amount of time left (which means, 14 minutes for example, has the
most amount of time left compared to 8 minutes, or 6 minutes (wow))
o If you enter a lobby and there is no 2X, keep swapping lobbies. If you cannot
find a 2X lobby after 5-10 minutes, powder grind in the lobby that has the LEAST
amount of time left on whichever event is currently active.
o If a 2X just ended in your lobby : swap lobbies, 80% chance that there will be
multilpe lobbies with 2X still active.
* Gear :
+ Full mineral armor to clear ores faster, more impactful compared to extra fortune
from yog/glacite/divan
+ Gemstone gauntlet : Again, the upgrades you should have depends on your budget.
But the absolutely required things are : Compact, Efficiency 5, Fortune 4,
Auspicious reforge and a flawless jade
+ Legendary silverfish pet for extra mining wisdom. Mithril Golem's extra mithril
powder perk does not work when opening treasure chest, and Epic/Legendary scatha's
mole perk completely disables your regular HOTM's mole perk, which make them
completely useless despite the extra gemstone powder.
> And finally, after gaining 2.2m/2m powder you can start gemstone mining for
money.
* Recommended gear :
+ Full divans : Jaded reforge, 2 flawless jades and a flawless topaz on each piece.
+ Gauntlet : Auspicious reforge, 1 flawless jade and topaz, fortune 4, pristine 5

and recomb
+ Pet : Level 100 legendary armadillo with a shelmet
+ Equipments :
o Vanquished glowstone gauntlet
o Ancient cloak
o Just get whichever equipments that have the highest rarity for the rest of the
slots
o Reforge the entire set to glistening
+ Extra accessories that give mining fortune : i forgor :skull:
+ If you have more money, you can obviously buy better upgrades for the set, such
as recombs on divans, perfect gems, artifact of power, etc. This is just a setup to
start with. I'll leave a gear upgrade order for dillo mining at the end of this
message (just ignore the sorrow armor part).
