ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

A. Information about the applicant

Name of Applicant/Proponent: CHERRYL Q. SABADO

Position Agency/Functional Division: TEACHER III/ SALVACION
NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

B. Profile of the program or course

i. Title of the Program or course: 3-DAY TRAINING ON THE

DESIGNING OF TV-BASED INSTRUCTION AND ITS INTEGRATION TO
THE LESSON

ii. Rationale

ICT integration was one of the major innovations introduced in

teaching and learning brought by Covid-19. This study offers a discussion
on the effects of ICT on literacy skills. Television-Based Instruction (TVBI)
is one of DepEd's learning modalities along with Radio-Based Instruction,
online, a modular learning in the absence of face-to-face learning due to
COVID-19 pandemic. Media can be used in almost any discipline to enhance
learning, both in class, and also for out-of-class assignments. Short film and
television clips, written articles, and blog postings can be viewed to reinforce
concepts and spark discussion. It is a powerful tool to support offline-
learning even without internet connectivity. It is a project supports the
Digital Rise Program which ensures the delivery of quality, accessible,
relevant, and liberating education by bridging digital gap.

While schools are utilizing a variety of modalities as part of our overall

endeavor to reach all students, meeting the K–12 Curriculum Standards is
the primary need for any modality to be implemented successfully.
Standards specify the material to be covered and serve as the key point of

alignment for contextualized learning delivery and classroom assessment,
giving teachers the freedom to respond to different circumstances while
ensuring that all students, no matter where they are, meet the same
standards. In accordance with DO 21, s. 2019 describes standards as
something that may be used as a foundation for estimating the precision
and quantity of a specific activity, program, etc. in reference to what is
required of someone working in the field of education.

While taking into account the emergency health crisis as expressed in

both the content and performance requirements, the MELCs' flexible K–12
curriculum can be adjusted to fit the various settings of students,
instructors, learning environments, and support systems. In order to
provide the necessary education in this time of crisis and to guarantee that
learners learn through and by all means, the right use and combination of
diverse learning modalities is an essential component.

This training-workshop shall empower the teachers in the Salvacion

National High School who are teaching in different subject areas to effectively and
efficiently deliver the goods to our clienteles. Teachers who are teaching the
learning area really need to focus on the least mastered competencies.

iv. Professional Development Priorities

This training-workshop shall support the realization of the

Development’s goal of continuous upskilling and reskilling of teachers that
will result in better learning outcomes particularly on the PPST domain 4
which focuses on the curriculum planning.

Integration.
