Answer the questions
1. How do you feel after viewing the video?
After watching the video during the storm, I was filled with sadness and
tears as I witnessed the hardships that our countrymen through, especially
as they grieved while relaying the narrative.
2. What can you say about the attitude of the victims shown in the video?
What I can say about the Filipinos' mindset during the storm is that they are
happy since, despite the hardships they have endured, no one in their
family has been murdered. And I'm delighted to be saddened by the sight of
others who have lost something to their families as a result of the typhoon's
strength.
3. What can you say about the volunteers who went out of their way to be
with the victims?
What I can say to the volunteers who went to the area where Typhoon
Yolanda hit is that they are overjoyed because, despite the hardships
endured by some of our compatriots, there are still people who are willing
to help the typhoon victims, and I am overjoyed because many people
donated so that our compatriots who were displaced could have food and
drink.
4. What can you say about the Filipino attitude during trials and difficulties?
Filipinos have a strong faith in God, which helps them persevere in terrible
times. They are always willing to assist individuals who are in need.
REFLECTIVE THOUGHT
Filipinos are persevering during difficult times because of their deep faith in God. They are
always ready to extend their help to those in dire need. They have their own way of finding hope
amidst trying moments.

Assessment: ACTIVITY 1: Short Reflection from the Bible passage ACTS 2:42-47 the “First

1. Who were the members of the first community?
The members of the first community is all the apostles and all believers.
2. How did they show their love each other?
They shared their food with great joy and simplicity of heart .
3. What did they do after they sold their belongings?
They would sell their property and all they had and distribute the proceeds to others,
according to their need.
REFLECTIVE THOUGHT
In the story of the first Community we read in the Acts of the Apostles, they hold all things in
common. They are always united in prayer. They find ways to lift each other’s burden. Everyone
in the community is happy for there is equal sharing and above all, the love of God is their
binding force

ACTIVITY 2- List three (3) ways on how they can be like the first Christian Community in the
present day situation.

Filipino values contribute to the development of a united mind, heart, and nation on the

2. How does Christ as presented in Catholic teaching correspond to the Filipino character
traits?
Filipinos, in imitation of Jesus Christ, become bold and perseverant in the face of
adversity, and they are always united with one another, just as Jesus Christ is linked with
the Father and Holy Spirit.

REFLECTIVE THOUGHT
Filipino values help build one mind, one heart, and one nation journeying together toward God. In
imitation of Jesus Christ, Filipinos become courageous and persevering in facing trials and challenges,
and always united with each other as Jesus Christ is united with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

He was the kind of man who would die for god and religion a thousand times if he had
to.
2. What images of a Filipino religious layperson can you see in Lorenzo?
Saint Lorenzo Ruiz stood out for his faith in god. This is the real character trait of a true
Filipino catholic
