A SHAPED PLAN
CONCEPT
• Highly site-specific scheme
• The site is wide towards the front road and narrows down towards the back. The building follows the site, forming the
letter 'A', in plan.
• Due to limited open space on site, continuous green space has been conceived in the form of stepped terraces - third
level to the top floor
• The rooms are arranged along the two arms of the 'A' and the connecting slab between the two arms acts as terrace
space which step back as one goes to the higher levels.

• The prime location within New Delhi Aerocity presented a unique set of design challenges with prescribed limits on
density, building setbacks, building height and materials. Special security requirements were also included to reduce
the vulnerability of the building to potential threats. In addition, the proximity to the airport created special challenges
for noise control. The design of the JW Marriott addressed all of these challenges with skill and elegance.
• The hotel features six restaurants and lounges that include Japanese restaurant Akira Back, grab-and-go patisserie
and retail shop Delhi Baking (DBC), K3 restaurant and JW Lounge.
• The Bengaluru and New Delhi hotels will be the JW Marriott brand’s fourth and fifth hotels in India, and its 61st and
62nd properties globally.
