All the CTS and CITS toppers, as per the list attached (Annexure |) are cordially invited to receive the certificate in person at the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh event to be held in Delhi on 12 October 2023. The CTS toppers can also bring one of their parent/guardians along with them as a companion. 3. Further, the Directors/Commissioners of State Directorate and the State Controllers of Examination as per below three criteria are also cordially invited to attend the ceremony (State list provided in Annexure I). a) The Directors from three States having maximum number of CTS toppers in the Annexure | b) The State Controllers of Examination from the respective States of the CTS meritorious candidates ©) The State Controllers of Examination based on certain measurable parameters 4. All the States are also encouraged to conduct the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh on 12th October 2023 parallelly with the MSDE and felicitate the State toppers. All the ITIs (Govt and Pvt) should also conduct the ceremony for the passed-out candidates at their institutes and felicitate them. Detailed instructions for conducting the Convocation Ceremony can be found in Annexure Ill. In cases where the guidelines lack clarity, individual ITis are permitted to make their own decisions. The list of All India ‘Toppers in the AITT 2023 for all the CTS trades is also enclosed with this letter as Annexure IV. 5. The RDSDEs/SSDECs are expected to monitor these activities. Also, advocacy related to career pathways including apprenticeship opportunities, job melas, vertical mobility and upstiling opportunities need to be taken up during the Convocation events. 6. The ITIs are required to submit the details of the ceremony including number of participating candidates, to DGT through a web link hitos://events.dgt.gov.in/iticonvocation by 15" October 2023, SPM. 7. In case, any State has already conducted the Convocation Ceremony at State level before the issue of this OM, they need not reconduct the ceremony. However, the ITls are advised to join the live telecast of the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh along with the trainees. Further, the ITIs are required to submit the details of the ceremony on the web link as provided in point 6 above, 8. The Industrial Training Institutes, by supplying skilled manpower to industries play a vital role in the economic development of the country. Every year, about 22 lakh trainees complete their course from 1400+ ITI actoss the country. It is necessary, that at the culmination of their training, the trainees are recognized for their dedicated efforts in a public ceremony of convocation at each ITI level. There is also a need to aitach ‘Prestige’ and ‘Pride’ to the acquisition of skills/education at ITIs. Towards that end, regular convocations should be organized to felicitate ITI pass outs. It has been resolved to hold Convocation for ITI paasouts this year on 12" October 2023,with with following objectives © Inspire and imbibe a feeling of pride and dignity in trainees for being part of a nation building initiative. «To embed a sense of fratemity belonging to a prestigious national program undertaken by Directorate General Training, Government of India © Strengthen the brand image of ITI in the industry, and Trainees’ community. «© Celebrate the hard work and dedication of each ITI pass out and generate a sense of belonginess amongst the students with the ITI Suggested Directions for Convocation 1. To confer the ‘National Trade Certificate” (NTC) to the students of ‘Industrial Training Institute’ (ITI) who have passed in the ‘All India Trade Test’ (AITT) conducted by DGT, MSDE. 2. Certificates, which are already made available in ITI login on the NCVT MIS Portal, are to be printed in color digital print by the ITI on 4 size paper of 200-300 GSM which will be handed over to the trainees during convocation. 3. The convocation ceremony shall be organized preferably in the campus of the respective il. 4, A committee shall be constituted by respective ITI, headed by the Principal, to take administrative and financial decisions for organizing, managing the Convocation Ceremony. 5. A popular personality/dignitary like renowned ITI alumni, government officials, eminent personalities from industry associations, autonomous bodies, industrialists, academic institutions, Elected Representatives, etc. shall be invited to deliver convocation address for creating better visibility and awareness. 6. Parents of the candidates should be invited in the convocation ceremony. A short cultural program may be organized by students of first year of ITI. 8. Communication regarding the convocation ceremony to all the students should be intimated well in advance before the ceremony. 9. Advocacy on career opportunities like apprenticeship, job mela, vertical mobility, upskilling ete. to be made during the convocation. 10. The expenses for organizing the ceremony shall be borne by the respective ITI. No fees shall be charged from trainees for attending the convocation ceremony. Page 1 of 211. Dress code for convocation: Principal, faculties, instructors, and key staff members should come in formal dress and formal shoes/ Sandal. The male and female trainees should be dressed in their ITI uniform and formal shoes. Suggested Flow of Activities in Commencement «Lighting of Lamp by the Chief Guest/Dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana/Prayer. © The faculty member designated as anchor to request the Principal to open theConvocation, deliver welcome address and introduce the Chief Guest. + The Principal will formally request Chief Guest to deliver his/her Convocation address * The anchor will call the Director/ Chief Guest/ other dignitary to start the ceremony ofconferment of the certificates. ‘+ The trainees should come on the stage one by one and receive their certificates as per theorder announced. ‘+ The top three meritorious students from each trade of the ITT to be felicitated withcertificate and mementoes. * The Chief Guest /Principal shall confer the awards. * Report and address by the Principal on achievements and outcomes of ITI. + The convocation address by the Chief Guest to the trainees.
