The world we live in is filled with mystery. Some areas stand out as especially
mysterious. Some of these places are believed to be haunted by legends and stories
about the area and some people believe these stories to be true and others dismiss
them as myths.
1. Tower of London
The Tower of London, in London, England, is an old castle that has been in use for a
long time as the royal residence, prison and an execution site in addition to being one of
the most haunted spots.
There have been numerous stories of sightings by ghosts in the Tower of London, such
as Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard and Jane Grey's ghosts who linger there after their
executions in this castle. Their spirits are believed to be haunting the castle grounds to
this day.
The White Lady is another ghost believed to be haunting the Tower of London. The
legend says she represents a person who was killed there and appears as an imposing
white figure who walks through the castle in the evening.
It is believed that the Amityville Horror House located in Amityville, New York is widely
believed to be haunted by Ronald DeFeo Jr. who killed the parents of his siblings and
their four children at the time in 1974. One year later after moving into the house
temporarily for 28 days and only, a family of four were removed after experiencing
numerous supernatural phenomena, including strange sounds or visions, as well as
physical attacks by unknown beings within their home.
