    Define the header error control: The tc sub-layer provides an error control mechanism for the cell header this mechanism is referred to as header error control (hec). Hec provides single-bit error correction and multiple-bit error detection capabilities. The operations involved in hec are The sender computes the checksum over the four bytes of the header and places it in the fifth byte. The receiver re computes the checksum (called the syndrome).any difference between syndrome and the received checksum is an indication of an error.
