520BID01 CS en

The RTU520 product line includes a binary input module called 520BID01 that provides 16 isolated binary inputs. It can process input signals with time stamps, double points, digital measured values, integrated totals, step positions, and bitstrings. The module uses a microcontroller to digitally filter inputs, check consistency, and sum increment pulses. It connects to the RTU I/O bus and can be mounted on a DIN rail.

accepted as a new signal state.
The module is available in two versions (rubrics):

The digital value is only consistant and valid if all binary channels of the value are
valid and stable for at least the consistency check time.
The micro-controller on the module processes all time critical
tasks of the parameterized processing functions. Moreover it
carries out the interactive communication with the RTU I/O bus. RTU500 Series function description part 5: Consistency check

DANGER
The LED ERR indicates module errors or I/O bus errors:
– module runs initialization procedure Hazardous voltage.
– module is performing a cold or warm start
– module has detected a memory error (RAM or Flash) Contact with live circuits will cause electric shock or burn.
– micro-controller is faulty
– no dialog via the I/O bus for at least 2 minutes. The module Verify that all terminals feeding dangerous contact voltages
