Verb patterns with -ing verb + -ing / verb + infinitive


and infinitive with similar meanings
verb + -ing These verbs can be followed by either of the patterns
without a significant change in the meaning of the sentence.
We always use the -ing form of the verb which follows these
verbs. These verbs are never followed by an infinitive. This begin continue hate like love prefer start
