III, Inter School Bhajan Competition is being organised in our school on 04 th November, 2023
from 9.30 A.M. onwards.
A copy of rules and format for entry is being enclosed herewith. Kindly send your entries on
scmvbm@yahoo.in on or before 26th October 2023.

Rules and regulations
SAHODAYA INTER-SCHOOL BHAJAN COMPETITION
RULES & REGULATIONS
Date: Saturday, 4TH November 2023

Time: 09:30 a.m.
Venue: School’s Auditorium
Rules:
1. Only students from classes III – V will be permitted to participate.

2. The dress code for the competition will be blue jeans and white kurta for all the participants.
Students must carry their valid school I-cards.
3. Only ONE group from a school can participate with maximum 08 participants for singing and a
team of 3 students and a teachers to play the instruments.
4. Electronic musical instruments will not be permitted.
5. The participating school will not be allowed to use any props or other material in their
participation.
6. Only TWO minutes will be given to set up the instruments on the stage.
7. Participants will get only FOUR MINUTES to perform.
8. The team that exceeds the time limit will face a penalty of 2 points.
9. Bhajan should be based on classical ragas, which the team will declare before singing.
10. Any Hindi film Bhajan or a song on the tune of a film Bhajan is strictly prohibited.
11. Any recorded song of non-film origin is also prohibited from being played..
12. No team is permitted to mention the name of their school before, after or during the presentation.
13. The presentation will be judged on sur, laya, taal, Content and overall impact of the song.
14. The decision of the judges will be final . The result will therefore not be altered at all. For any issues ,
kindly contact the host School Principal or the Committee members, ISSC, Indore with a written
application.
15. The Best Three/Four Performances will receive trophies. All others will receive participation
certificates.
16. Out of the judges one should be vocalist compulsorily.
IMPORTANT
1. The last date to submit entries is Thursday 26th October 2023.

2. Please fill and e-mail the registration form to scmvbm@yahoo.in
3. Kindly mention a few lines of the Bhajan and its raga, name of the poet/lyricist (optional) along with
the other details in the registration form.
4. Participating team must reach the venue latest by 09:30 a.m. otherwise a penalty of 2 points will
be given.
5. All participants must remain at the venue till the program ends.
6. Lunch and refreshments will be served to all the team members of the participating schools.
