PART I. DETAILS
Today served as the Third Department Learning Activity Cell (LAC) for teachers for the
third quarter.
A Learning Action Cell is a group of teachers who engage in collaborative learning sessions
to solve shared challenges in the school facilitated by the school head or a designated Learning
Action Cell leader, LACs will become the school – based communities of practice that are
positive, caring, and safe spaces. LAC session is a program of the Department of Education that
aims to create professional learning communities that will help teachers to have a wider scope of
teaching content and methodologies. LAC sessions encourage critical reflection amongst teachers
which increases the understanding and knowledge of the curriculum and classroom practices.
Today’s department LAC session was organized by the LAC leader, Teacher Rey Anthony A.
Miguel, Teacher III.
A heartfelt prayer led by teacher Marites A. Con – Ui officially signaled the start of the
session of TLE department. Followed by the singing of Makabayan song. An energizer in a form
of zumba led by Teacher Jocelyn L. Castillo. Ma’am Luz N. Ramirez, head teacher III delivered
her opening message.
At 10:00 in the morning, teacher Rey Anthony A. Miguel, Teacher III stated the Purpose of
activity. According to him “Education Apps helps students to analyze what they have been
taught and what is the source of it which makes them curious to know more but in a systematic
way where they know how, when and what to explore. This overall process helps the students to
learn practically and not theoretically.” He then encouraged his fellow teachers to create their
mobile android education apps.
At 10:45 in the morning, teacher Rey Anthony A. Miguel, Teacher III/ resource speaker
presented his developed android application, which is TUKLASIN 2.0, it is an interactive mobile
application were in the he integrated his lessons in a form of mobile apps. He discussed the
steps in making the android apps.
After his informative talk about TUKLASIN 2.0, the teacher – participants developed their
android education app. The teacher – participants presented their android apps on the following
day.
Education learning apps are designed to be engaging and enjoyable for students.
Knowledge augmentation, tailored learning experiences, improved engagement, access to online
study material, ease of communication, and, most significantly, remote access are all advantage
of a learning app.
All the learnings and activities instilled to us today are indeed beneficial. Learning Action
Cell (LAC) Session served as a ray of light to us teachers to continue providing quality education.
