The Samal-Davao bridge project aims to connect the island of Samal to Davao City through a new bridge. The bridge has long been hoped for by residents of Samal to make travel between the two areas easier and cheaper than the existing ferry system. While the bridge will provide benefits like saving travel time and costs for students and residents, there are also environmental and social concerns about its potential negative impacts on coastal areas and demolishing houses in Davao City. On balance, the bridge is expected to primarily help the people of Samal Island and tourists by improving connectivity.

Samal-Davao bridge project
What ate it’s impact? Is it really worthy?
Since then, Samaleno hoped to have a bridge connector for the Island of Samal. A bridge that will connect the boundaries of Davao City and the Isalnd City and the Island of Samal to serve at least thousands of vehicle and the people in the isalnd.
Now that the project is finally operating through the
Build,Build,Build Program of our previous Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Samalenos are glad to hear that their most awaited bridge is slowly coming true. Many says that this project is helpful to them because it makes people lives way easier. Like going to Davao City and other neighborhood city is less hard. Also by now, people from the Island will just pay to ride a ferry going to Davao, but if the bridge is already accomplished it can help people, like saving their money and save the time they’ll use.
Additionally, there are many students that are studying outside
the Island. There are some that is going to Davao City almost everyday. This bridge project will make manny students journey everyday easier and help save their time.
On the other hand, despite of its positive effect to us. There is
also some negative effect from this. This project many harm our environmaent, like our costal areas. Furthermore, this may also result to a house demolition in Davao City thatmay affect some people’s way of live.
This project have negative effects but it has also positive effects only to the people os Samal but also to the tourist that will visist the Island.
