Fernando Macías Presentation
Software Engineer Fernando is a Colombian citizen who has been working
for more than ten years in software development and has
recently paid attention on working for a Swedish company
where he can have the opportunity to add value sharing
his knowledge and expertise and find a place where can
continue growing professionally.
He is a passionate programmer since he created his first
Java Micro Edition application for a featured phone at
university. He enjoys analyzing, designing, diagraming
and developing the business requirements and solving
problems for standalone and mobile application services
or any other challenge alike. Every now and then he likes
to refactor his own written code as he gains more
comprehension and understanding of the business rules
and domain model. He had the occasion to work with and
being coached by Java Champion Jorge Vargas for more
than 6 years, one of the most recognized speakers for the
Skills Spanish Java Community in Central America and South
America.

2021 – Feb - now Portal Suscripciones Data Analysis

Configuration of an ELK stack (Elastic – Logstash –
Kibana) for data reporting and analysis. The system
consists of three Filebeat nodes connected to a
Logstash instance, one Logstash synchronized to
MySQL, one Elasticsearch and one Kibana instance.
The dashboard displays daily subscriptions, total
billing and web campaign effectiveness.

2021 – Jan Telemed

Supporting other development team in the design of
a Telemedicine system for a Mexican Sleep Clinic.
The system includes a react admin web console, a
react web app for doctors, a doctor mobile app and
a patient mobile app for Android and iOS.

2021 – Jan Investore

Gathering customer requirements and designing a
mobile application for USA dollar investment system
based on 8 different investor profiles, consuming
multiple third-party APIs such as Bitso and Stripe for
cryptocurrency and credit or debit card transactions
respectively.

2020 – Oct - now Ethics Latam

Involved in design and planning of a complete
solution for a job applicant aptitude interview system.
The system comprises one Admin Console for job
applicants CRUD operations, a Responsive Web
Site for job applicant recruiters, an IVR Amazon
Connect module where job applicants answer the
interview, and a backend system consuming an
Artificial Intelligence Interview Qualifier Web Service
capable of giving a 0 to 100 score for best job
applicant matches.
BeMobile Assignments

2020 – March, June, Vendamos!

Oct Developing the front-end of an Admin Web Console
for a mobile application used by the work force of
Claro Perú so they can offer the most recent cell
phones and promotion plans to end users.
This particular project was a legacy code with the
challenge to recreate all missing database queries
and store procedures.

2019 – Oct - now Portal Suscripciones Web Platform

Design, development and implementation of a web
platform for Web Content Providers able to configure
a customizable Landing Page where end users can
subscribe to a specific service in order to receive or
download value added mobile content such as
games, wallpapers, healthy tips, etc. This platform
implements Google Tag Manager and Google
Analytics for web campaign effectiveness over
Google Ads.

2019 – March - June COVID-19 USSD Survey

Design, testing and improvements of a COVID-19
survey through Push USSD protocol for 11 million
mobile users in order to detect the most infected
areas in Perú. This survey where notified on a TV
News Channel all around Perú.

2016 – April - now USSD Menu

Design, development, implementation and
maintenance of a self-management menu over
USSD protocol for prepaid and postpaid mobile
users where they can check their balance, buy
internet, SMS and calling packages for Claro Perú.

Senior Java Developer

Francisco continued developing software for

BeMobile as a Senior Java Developer in Mexico.

▪ Involved in refactorizing one of the most

profitable platform of the company under the
coach of Jorge Vargas Java Champion,
controlled by daily automated integration tests.
▪ Maintain and improve the Gateway SMS
delivery platform connected to every main
mexican mobile carriers: Telcel, Movistar,
Iusacell and Nextel (later AT&T).
▪ Designing and developing a Single Sign-On
module in order to connect multiple Admin Web
