Grade 7 Week 3

This document outlines a lesson plan for teaching 7th grade students about the elements of theater arts. It includes 4 phases: introduction, development, engagement, and assimilation. In the introduction, students play warm-up games to develop attention and identify theater-related terms. The development phase defines the major elements of theater - performers, audience, director, space, visual and script aspects. Students complete a concept map and discuss scenarios without these elements. In engagement, students divide into groups to write and perform scripts based on stories using proper elements. Their performances are assessed on a rubric. Finally, assimilation has students observe and analyze a theater play video, noting actors' qualities and element application.
