SNMP Connection Instructions

1. To connect to the SNMP, power on the BMS and connect it to a computer via RS485 or Ethernet. Set the BMS dial switch to 0 and select the same address on the computer. 2. Access the SNMP software and extract the BMS's network information like IP, netmask and gateway. Modify these to match the computer's network settings. 3. Write the new network settings to the BMS, add its IP to the monitoring list, and test the connection. The IP will be added to the list of monitored devices.

How to set up and connect to the SNMP

1、Power and wirin

(Take RS485 as an example below, if it is RS232 port, please use RS232


communication line and upper computer)
a. The BMS is powered up normally;
b. Access to the RS485 communication line,The BMS is connected to the computer;
c. Use a network cable to connect the computer's net port to the Ethernet port of the BMS
(SNMP);

2、BMS dial switch address dial 0,Open the 485 upper computer computer,Upper
computer Address is selected 0,After connecting to the communication,
Remember the COM port。

3、Set up the network connection information for the BMS
Turn off the 485 upper computer and start the SNMP upper com

Go to the“IP Settings page” ,In the“Read BMS IP”group, the serial port item selects the COM
port and click “Open”
Open the button,Follow these steps again:
a. Click the "Read" button to extract network information such as BMS IP ;
b. Modify this information to your network information(Your network information can be
found as described in point 4 below),
BMS IP:Same network segment as the IP in Figure 4-2
Netmask :Same as the Netmask in Figures 4-2
gateway :Same as the gateway in Figures 4-2
NDS:Don't change。
c. Click the Settings Up button to write the modified new information to the BMS;
d. Click the "Add Monitoring List" button to add the IP to the "Monitoring IP List" on the left。
In the left Monitoring IP List, double-click Test in the Test column to test the line separately
Can the IP be connected。
e. In the Monitor IP List, double-click the check box in the Use column of the IP line,After

checking successfully, The IP of the line is added to the Current Monitoring IP list at the
top right of the home page (remove the IP from the Current Monitoring IP list)。

4、View the network information for your own network
a. press the Windows + R key of the keyboard, enter cmd in the "Run" box, press the return key。
b. Enter “ipconfig ”in the black command window and press the Enter key, in Figure 4-1.
Record the IP information in Figure 4-2;

5、Open the SNMP upper-computer computer monitor
a. Ensure that the BMS is on the same area network as the computer(Note: the computer and
BMS should be on the same LAN, Otherwise, the upper computer cannot communicate with the
BMS using SNMP.)
b. Click the "Open all" button on the top right of the home page of the SNMP upper
computer,and the upper computer will automatically connect to the " Current Monitoring All of the
IP's in the IP " list.See Figure 5-1:
