 As you can see in the image, each individual has their respective roles. They work together
so that the other pieces of the puzzle will be back at its place. In other words, it depicts
unity. Individuals help one another in achieving their desired outcome, same goes to
different countries in terms of globalization. Each country, particularly the more productive
ones, aids the growth of other developed and developing countries. Be it a small or big
country, each of them has a significant impact on the prosperity of one’s economy. They
are united to help each other reach the success that every countries wants to achieve.
When we all work together and are willing to help others, we can solve problems and

Activity 5.2 Analysis, Abstraction and Application

In 10 - 15 sentences, answer the following questions.
1. In the context of international relationship among countries, do you believe in the
saying that “NO MAN IS AN ISLAND”? Why or why not? Expound your answer.
 In the context of international relationship, I believe in the saying that “No man is an Island”
because international relationship is way of connecting other countries and building good
connections. Just like how human beings won’t be able to live on his own, countries also
can’t survive on its own. No one is fully self-sufficient; in order to live, everyone needs the
company and comfort of others. In the matter of international relationship among other
countries, there isn’t a country who can stand on his own. A country must gain good
relationships to other countries in order to survive and prosper their economy. Especially,
with the help of the bigger and industrious countries, developed and developing countries
have higher chances to achieve economic success if they have a better relationship among
them. We need each other to live as a whole community. International relations have some
relevant factors that can help in making a more develop country such as exchanging
products that is insufficient production in the recipient countries, provide employment
opportunity to the citizens if they can work abroad, and can extend help to countries who
are in need of assistance when calamities, disaster and crisis occur. It is therefore wrong to
think that you can do great on your country on your own. At some point, you will need the
help of other countries to have more opportunities and make changes that can help the
country’s economic growth.

2. Given the situation where different countries around the world do not have good
relationship to each other, what do you think will happen to the contemporary
world? In your own words, explain the significance of the word “integration.”
Answers should be short and concise.
 We live in a world in which nations are not fully united. Having a world that has a bad
relationship to each other would be chaotic. People began to use powers; there were even
nations that started a war. Children were crying, some out of fear because their parents had
killed in the battle. Given the current state of things, when nations do not have good
relations with one another, I believe it would have a negative impact on contemporary
world. It would devastate the modern world's economy. The innocent, particularly
youngsters, would be severely affected by this. Integration is significant in this case.
Integration is the process of bringing together or uniting a group of countries to form a
single entity. Bringing all nations together would eliminate the risk of countries having a bad
relationship with one another. As a result, in order to attain a peaceful world, it is essential
to be united, as said earlier.

3. In this modern and global age that we live in, we were able to experience the
effects of market integration among countries. Hence, it is fun and sensible to
look back for its practical scenarios in our daily living. Narrate at least one

scenario in your life where you think “market integration” has been part of it,
explain its perceived advantages/disadvantages briefly.
 In today ’s contemporary world, the economy is improving, which has a variety of marketing
implications. The interconnection of enterprises in a market is depicted by market
integration. Markets differ in terms of how integrated they are, and as a result, their
efficiency. Market integration has both a negative and positive effect on those who have
been through it. For instance, the companies which are Jollibee and Red Ribbon. These
were owned by different people before but this has changed as a result of market
integration. Jollibee's owner purchased Red Ribbon, reducing its competitor's market share.
It is advantageous to the people who are under in this businesses. On the other hand, it has
an impact on freedom, social unloading, and financial security. As a result, everything has a
positive and negative impact on us, and all we can do is be cautious about what we do.
There could be a corresponding impact on us if we weren’t aware of what we are doing.
