    Using the DIKAR Model:

     Give a business example of the conversion of data to action/result

    EXAMPLE

    Data – 38

    Information

     Degrees centigrade – person x

    Knowledge

     Whenever (measuring the temperature of a person x in hospital)


     If (it is above 37.5 degrees centigrade)
     Then – person x has a fever

    Action
     If the person x has a fever – then actions should be taken to reduce their body temperature

    Result = person’s fever is reduced

    Using the RAKID Model:

     Give a business example of the conversion of a required action/result and the backward
    steps to identify the data, information and knowledge required

    Result: Identify a traveller from an infected area with Coronavirus

    Action: Measure temperature reading of traveller

    Knowledge:

    Whenever (measuring the temperature of a traveller from a Coronavirus infected area)

    If (their temperature is greater than 38 degrees centigrade)

    Then – they could have contracted coronavirus

    Information - temperature in centigrade of traveller

    Data > or equal to 38
