    Computer Vision/ Data Scientist

    About Us :
    Founded in 2020, GalaxEye aims to shape the future of Satellite Image Acquisition,
    providing the most meaningful dataset, thus helping businesses and governments make
    data-driven decisions based on insights from satellite imagery. We will operate on a
    Data-as-a-service model, providing Satellite Imagery Datasets and Value added
    services to serve Geospatial Analytics Companies and Infrastructure enterprises. We
    are incubated at the IIT Madras Incubation Cell and have also raised capital in the Seed
    round of Funding. Also, find our feature in Forbes.

    Roles:
    As a member of the product team, you will research, design, implement, optimise and
    deploy deep learning models to continuously evolve our AI ecosystem. The usual day-
    to-day tasks include implementing new neural network architectures, reading deep
    learning code/papers, training them in our data, reviewing performance metrics,
    integrating and optimising the models to run efficiently in our platform while continuously
    iterating and improving based on real-world performance.

    Responsibilities:
    Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and
    collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.

    Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.

    Develop, train and optimise state-of-the-art algorithms to perform visual recognition


    tasks, such as segmentation, detection, and classification at scale on satellite image
    datasets.

    Integrate deep neural networks and the associated preprocessing and


    postprocessing code to run efficiently on our platform devices, including different
    GPU architectures.

    Write robust, well-documented, and well-tested code libraries that adhere to


    community standards and best practices.

    Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results.

    Desired skills and experience:


    Preferred experience as a Machine/Deep-Learning Engineer or similar role.

    Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture.

    Ability to write robust code in Python.

    Experience with Tensorflow and PyTorch

    Strong experience with data science tools including Python scripting, CUDA,
    numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, bash scripting and Linux environment.

    Experience with building and using MLOps pipeline

    Preferred Experience in remote sensing.

    Ability to collaborate effectively across the team.

    Detail-oriented team member who can consistently meet deadlines.
