Dulux Stay Bright PU Satin
Dulux Super PU Satin is a premium soft sheen enamel paint for interior and
exterior wooden, metal and masonry surfaces. Dulux Super PU Satin gives a
luxurious satin like smooth finish and comes in a range of rich & clean colors.
Its PU Reinforced Dura-Tough Technology imparts toughness and
durability to the paint film. It also gives long lasting sheen and resists fungal
attack, keeping the paint looking as good as new for a long time.

SHELF LIFE
• 3 years from the Date of Manufacturing in the original sealed condition.

• Store under cover, away from direct sunlight and protect from extreme temperature.

• In hot temperature conditions, it must be stored in a temperature-controlled environment i.e., less than 300C.

APPLICATION RELATED INFORMATION

Before application, read the safety, health and environmental information and the precautions given below.
Application Tool:
Suitable for application by brush, roller or spray.

Areas of application:
• Metal and Wood surfaces

Surface Preparation:
• Remove loose and flaking particles and sand the surface with Emery paper no 180, Wipe and clean. Flame
cutting and/or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and/or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding
should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust
ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. For pre painted surface where
putty application is not required use Emery paper no 320 & wipe clean.

Priming Coat Application:

• Prime the surface with Dulux Zinc Yellow Metal Primer (Must for warranty)/Dulux Red Oxide Metal Primer
for metal, Duwel Pink Wood Primer or Duwel White Primer for wood and Dulux Solvent Based Cement
Primer for masonry surfaces by diluting as per recommendation. Ensure drying for 6-8 hours for primer
coat. Smoothen the surface by applying good quality solvent-based putty after the first priming coat.
Allow the putty to dry properly and lightly sand the putty surface with Emery paper no 180. Apply second
coat of primer and allow it to dry for 6-8 hours. Lightly sand with Emery paper no 320 & wipe clean.

Dilution:
• Stir the paint thoroughly and strain through a muslin cloth before use. the Dilute 1 lit of Dulux Super Satin
PU paint with 100 ml of Dulux Thinner or White Spirit/ MTO for brush application and up to 250ml of
Dulux Thinner or White Spirit/ MTO for spray application. Dilution above the recommended dilution will
affect the finish and performance of the product.

Finishing:
• Stir thoroughly before use. Apply 2-3 coats of Dulux Super Satin PU Over Priming coat and allow a drying
time of 6-8 hours between the coats. Do light sanding between the coats after drying, if required.

Drying Time:

Drying time may vary according to temperature and humidity. For instance, drying time will be significantly
longer in cool and damp conditions.
SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION:

• No added Lead, Mercury & chromium compounds

• Lead content in dried paint film does not exceed 90 parts per million.
• Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and other fumes. Wet
sanding/flaming should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection
equipment.
• Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
• Call a POISON CENTER or physician if you feel unwell
• Keep away from combustible material.
• In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher - Never use water jet.
• Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Do not apply when ambient temperature is less than 10°C or if the temperature might drop to this level within 4 hrs of
application.
• Do not apply during wet weather.
• Do not over thin or overextend the brush.
• Do not use Universal stainers or any other colourants.
• Stir thoroughly before use.
• Use only Dulux Colorants for tinting.
• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Do not apply on damp surface.
• Do not apply on rusted surface.
• Tinted paints need thorough shaking immediately after tinting as well as before application.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS:

• Keep out of reach of children. • If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. • Obtain special instructions before
use. • Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection. • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames
and other ignition sources. No smoking. • Avoid release to the environment • Avoid breathing vapor. • Wash hands thoroughly after
handling. • IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice or attention. • IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. • If skin irritation or rash
occurs Get medical advice or attention. • IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present
and easy to do. Continue rinsing. • If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice or attention. • Store locked up. • Store in a well-ventilated
place. Keep cool. • Dispose of contents and containers in accordance with all local, regional, national, and international regulations.
