    From: SVA Vice President of Operations
    Date: 10.29.2023
    Subject: Winter Weather Operations 2023
    a. SVA announces the activation of our Winter Weights Policy in accordance with
    OPSPEC A099, effective November 1st, 2023. As we transition into the cold
    weather season, this memorandum serves as both an official notification of this
    policy change and a reminder to all pilots to review our Cold Weather Operations
    and Deice/Anti-Ice procedures to ensure the safety and efficiency of our flights.
    b. Activation of Winter Weights Policy:
    a. Our Winter Weights Policy, as outlined in OPSPEC A099, will take effect
    on November 1st, 2023. This policy provides standardized weights for
    passengers and baggage to aid in weight and balance on all flight
    operations during the winter months. Please review the Standard Weights
    Memorandum prior to conducting flight operations on 1 November 2023.
    c. Review of Cold Weather Operations and Deice/Anti-Ice Procedures:
    a. As we enter colder weather season it is important for all pilots to review
    the specific cold weather operational procedures outlined by Southwest
    Virtual Airlines. Pay attention to changes in aircraft performance, weather
    forecasting, and pre-flight checks related to icing and winter conditions.
    d. Please maintain a heightened sense of awareness and vigilance as Winter
    weather can introduce unique challenges, and it is our responsibility to ensure
    the safety of our passengers and crew.
    e. Please make sure to reach out to the flight operations department for any
    questions, clarification, or additional training related to the Winter Weights Policy,
    Cold Weather Operations, or Deice/Anti-Ice procedures. We are here to support
    you in every way possible.
    f. Thank you for your commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in our
    flight operations. Together, we will navigate the challenges of the winter season
    with the utmost professionalism and safety.
