As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, TikTok primarily focused on short form
video content and there wasnt direct e-commerce platforms within the app however things
may have changed since then if TikTok has introduced a shop feature or if you referring to a
third party service i recommend checking the latest information within the app or on TikTok
official for the most accurate and up-to date details
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Sasana: This research will undertake to find out the use of TikTok as a shopping platform for
senior high school students in GMATHS lies in Investigating the students preferences on
their purchasing decisions, and understanding their buying behavior.
This research will be beneficial to the following:
Future Researchers: they can gain an Insights from this research to use this as an
reference to their future research, contributing to their approaches.
Business owners: they can use this research to gain knowledge about how senior high
school students use TikTok for shopping, enabling them to tailor their products and
campaigns to better resonate with this demographic.
SHS Students: Insight into their online shopping behavior so they can maintain their
spending and monitor their shopping activities, ensuring a balance between entertainment
and responsible consumption.
Rucinas: This research will be conducted to find out the use of TikTok as a shopping
platform for senior high school students in GMATHS depends on Investigating the
preferences of students in their purchasing decisions, and understanding the their buying
behavior.

Shoppers at Tiktok shop: It comes to their mind or they are used to shopping at Tiktok shop
because it is easy and hassle-free because the delivery is door to door, so there is no need
to go to the market for buyers.
TikTok shop: It's good here because here you can shop for unique items or goods that you
can't find in the real market, such as rare items that are not available outside, most of which
you can find here in the TikTok shop, especially imported items.
RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS
Peña: Null hypothesis (directional): There is no relationship between the use of Tiktok
Application as a Shopping Platform and the buying preference of Senior High School
students in GMATHS.
Alternative hypothesis (non directional): There is a relationship between the use of Tiktok
Application as a Shopping Platform and the buying preference of Senior High School
students in GMATHS.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
Quidlat: The research study we are aiming is to know what is the preference of students
about buying in online platforms. The respondents of this study is the students who are
currently schooling in GMATHS and have many experience about buying in online platforms
specially on TikTok.
Pe: The study aims to identify TikTok’s role in and perceptions across the retail consumer
journey. The research will be conducted on the school year 2023 - 2024, august 21 to
january 26, to be exact. This study conducted in General Mariano Alvarez Technical High
School (GMATHS) SHS, and the target respondent of the research are the SHS students
specially to those students that using the tiktok application.
Remoto: The main focus of this study is to acknowledge the buying preferences of selected
students in Gmaths to the Tiktok application as a shopping platform.The respondents of this
research are the selected male and female senior high school students in General Mariano
Alvarez Technical High School(GMATHS) of GMA, Cavite.The duration of the study will be
conducted within the school year of 2023-2024.
