Dear Mrs Sanet Steenkamp
Education Director
w
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you as a concerned member of our country who
strongly believes in the importance of equipping our youth with knowledge and fostering a safe and
responsible environment for their personal growth. I am seeking your permission to conduct an
educational program within the schools in our country from next year January 15, we will be focusing
on sensitive yet critical topics such as rape, abortion, drugs, baby dumping, abstaining from sex, human
trafficking, bullying one another and putting a stop to committing suicide because this matters are now
a day to day case in our country and they need to be addressed in each school.
T
Recognizing the challenges faced by our youth in today's society, it is crucial that we address these
t
issues proactively and provide students with the necessary information to make informed decisions.
Our proposed program aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can
engage in open, honest discussions, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the consequences
f
associated with their actions.
T
To ensure the effectiveness of this program, we plan to invite medical professionals, life skills
teachers, social workers, police officers, and artists of their choice to contribute their knowledge and
experiences. These individuals will bring diverse perspectives and expertise, fostering a well-rounded
understanding of the topics at hand. Additionally, we propose charging a nominal fee to the learners
for their participation, which will help cover the expenses associated with organizing the program.
4
1. Educate students about the potential consequences and risks associated with rape, abortion, drugs,
baby dumping, and sex.
2. Promote empathy, respect, and consent among students, emphasizing the importance of healthy
relationships.
3. Provide accurate and unbiased information on these sensitive topics, debunking myths and
misconceptions.
4. Create a safe space for students to discuss their concerns, seek guidance, and ask questions.
5. Empower students to make informed decisions that contribute to their personal well-being and the
betterment of society.
Youth Village Education Namibia CC has a strong focus on country empowerment and support as well
meeting our government half way. The key outcomes we aim to achieve includes:
1. Increased Employment Opportunities: By organizing these educational program, we will not only create
temporary employment for individuals involved in the project but also encourage local businesses to
provide goods and services during these events.
2. Entrepreneurship and Small Business Support: Through targeted workshops and mentoring programs,
we will help individuals interested in starting their own businesses by providing them with the necessary
knowledge, resources, and guidance.
3. Starter Packs for New Mothers and Babies: To support new mothers and provide them with essential
items, we plan to distribute starter packs containing baby essentials and materials that promote healthy
parenting practices.
4. Provision of Toiletries for Students: Recognizing the importance of personal hygiene, we aim to supply
toiletries to students who may not have easy access to these items, ensuring a conducive learning
environment.
5. Student Uniform Assistance: We believe that providing uniforms to students in need will foster a sense of
equality, reduce stigmatization, and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
6. Food Donations for the Elderly: As part of our commitment to caring for the elderly, we intend to buy and
distribute food donations to senior citizens in our country, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.
7. Clothing and Blanket Donations: To support the less fortunate, particularly during harsh weather
conditions, we aim to buy and distribute clothing and blankets to individuals in need, helping them stay
warm and comfortable.
We understand that these topics are sensitive and may elicit strong emotions, but we firmly believe that by
addressing them directly, we can equip our students with the knowledge and skills to make responsible
choices throughout their lifetime. The program will be conducted with utmost professionalism, sensitivity,
and respect for the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of our students.
We kindly request your permission to conduct this educational program within the schools in our country .
We are prepared to collaborate with your office to establish appropriate guidelines, secure parental
consent, and make arrangements with the school principals on the perfect time to visit their schools since
some learners have started with their examinations and address any concerns from the country at large.
We are confident that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of our students and
contribute to their personal development and well-being. We have attached reports from different
resources such as Informante,NBC and bloggers that prove that we as a country need to start talking more
on such topics and that people need assistance here and there.
Thank you for considering our request. We eagerly await your favorable response. Should you have any
questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 081 877 3058 or via email
