The Jubilee
Heb 9:22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and
without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
Lev 16:14 And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with
his finger on the front of the mercy seat on the east side, and in front of the
mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.
Lev 16:15 "Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people
and bring its blood inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the
blood of the bull, sprinkling it over the mercy seat and in front of the mercy
seat.
Lev 16:16 Thus he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the
uncleannesses of the people of Israel and because of their transgressions,
all their sins. And so he shall do for the tent of meeting, which dwells with
them in the midst of their uncleannesses.
*[[2Co 5:21]] WEB* For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf;
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old
has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2Co 5:18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not
counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of
reconciliation.
*[[Lev 16:20-23]] KJV* And when he hath made an end of reconciling the
holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring
the live goat:
Lev 16:30 For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse
you. You shall be clean before the LORD from all your sins.
Lev 16:31 It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict
yourselves;
KJV Leviticus 25:9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to
sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement
shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
(Revelation 5:11.) Not in a State of Solitude and Grandeur—Do not let your
thoughts dwell upon yourselves. Think of Jesus. He is in His holy place, not in
a state of solitude and grandeur, but surrounded by ten thousand times ten
thousand of heavenly beings who wait to do their Master’s bidding. And He
bids them go and work for the weakest saint who puts his trust in God. High
and low, rich and poor, have the same help provided (Letter 134, 1899). – {7BC

Lev 16:21 Aaron shall lay his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it
all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions,
concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it
away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.
22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not
inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
23 And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall
put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place,
and shall leave them there:
Eze 42:14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the
holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments
wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments,
and shall approach to those things which are for the people.
*[[Lev 23:27]] KJV* Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a
day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict
your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
WHEN SHALL THIS OFFERING BE MADE AND WHEN IS THE DAY OF
ATONEMENT FOR OUR TIME?
KJV Daniel 8:13 - 14
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain
saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice,
and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to
be trodden under foot?
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then
shall the sanctuary be cleansed. Then commenced the jubilee, when the land
should rest. I saw the pious slave rise in triumph and victory and shake off the
chains that bound him, while his wicked master was in confusion and knew
not what to do; for the wicked could not understand the words of the voice of
God. Soon appeared the great white cloud. It looked more lovely than ever
before. On it sat the Son of man. EW 35.1
The voice of the Son of God called forth the sleeping saints, clothed with
glorious immortality. The living saints were changed in a moment, and were
caught up with them into the cloudy chariot. It looked all over glorious as it
rolled upward. On either side of the chariot were wings, and beneath it wheels.
And as the chariot rolled upward, the wheels cried, “Holy,” and the wings, as
they moved, cried, “Holy,” and the retinue of holy angels around the cloud
cried, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty” And the saints in the cloud cried,
“Glory! Alleluia!” And the chariot rolled upward to the holy city. Jesus threw
open the gates of the golden city, and led us in. Here we were made welcome,
for we had kept “the commandments of God,” and had a “right to the tree of
life.” CET 96 Rev 14:12, 22:14
When able to do so, he was at liberty at any time to redeem it; debts were
remitted every seventh year, and in the fiftieth, or year of jubilee, all landed
property reverted to the original owner. Ed 42.2
Christ determined to bestow a gift on those who had been with Him and on
those who should believe on Him, because this was the occasion of His
ascension and inauguration, a jubilee in heaven. What gift could Christ bestow
rich enough to signalize and grace His ascension to the mediatorial throne? It
must be worthy of His greatness and His royalty. Christ gave His
representative, the third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit. This Gift could
not be excelled. . . . {CTr 301.4}
On the day of Pentecost Christ gave His disciples the Holy Spirit as their
Comforter. It was ever to abide with His church. During the whole Jewish
economy the influence of this Spirit has often been revealed in a marked
manner, but not in full. The Spirit had been waiting for the crucifixion,
resurrection, and ascension of Christ. For ages prayers had been offered for the
fulfillment of the promise, for the impartation of the Spirit; and not one of these
earnest supplications had been forgotten. Now for ten days the disciples sent
up their petitions, and Christ in heaven added His intercession. He claimed the
gift of the Spirit, that He might pour it out upon His people. . . . [Christ] having
reached His throne, the Spirit was given as He had promised, and like a
rushing, mighty wind, it fell upon those assembled, filling the whole house. It
came with a fullness and power, as if for ages it had been restrained, but was
now poured forth upon the church, to be communicated to the world. What
followed this outpouring? Thousands were converted in a day.—Manuscript 44,
1898. {CTr 301.5}
